AP is probably going to end up one of the greatest backs of all time.
I think most of you guys that keep comparing him to him are going a little overboard due to homerism and excitement......
With that said, when I see him run, Eddie George comes to mind more than anyone.
+1

He's fantastic, but once in a lifetime is homerism. Bush, AD, McFadden, TRich, etc were all equally impressive prospects.
He does look substantially better than McKnight.

Those 3 aren't even in his league.
Dude is a once in a lifetime player, most underrated thing about him is his hands
On the surface this sounds like bullshite, but from everything ive heard...its pretty accurate. He's the real deal.

I have some friends that play for aug and they say that yiu really can't arm tackle the kid. They were saying that the second you try to grab him he just immediately shakes off your hand and keeps going. His ability to break tackles Is really second to none.
Also, he loves him some purple and gold

To me he looks like a big fast bruiser like Joseph Addai.

all were impressive prospects no doubt, but in absolutely no way is it homerism, I fully believe he will have a once in a lifetime type impact in CFB. I consider AD a once in a lifetime player, and I see LF having a similar career.

No question about it.

This. It definitely sounds like just bs calling him a once in a lifetime player, but he is a complete back and his hands out of the backfield honestly impress me the most about him. The more highlights you watch, the more you just become in aw of what he does.

Watching his most recent highlights (junior year), this is definitely what stood out to me too. Hell there was a play where he ran through about 4 different players (pretty sure they were all white, but nonetheless) and then outran everyone to the endzone. Dude is special, no doubt.

Fornette's best comparison is to Adrian Peterson

More importantly, who's making those ALL IN t-shirts?

IMO he runs similar to Frank Gore. If you go back and watch Frank Gore back in his early college years, they look pretty close

It's not crazy to think that AP is his ceiling if everything transitions. Absolute worst case, he will be an Alfred Blue on his best day type back.
AP was really good in college. But he really didn't emerge as a best ever type of back until he got into the pros. I'm comparing him to AP in high school and college. Not AP today. That would be crazy.

Why?
No one is predicting an NFL HOF career from the dude...yet.
They are simply referencing style, size, etc. and comparing to him entering college.
I have no idea if accurate or not. But, you seem to be hung up on AD now versus what these guys are saying

I'm just a lurker here but I have heard this from national media "Albert Breer" who has heard this from college coaches.

Guys that get paid to analyze high school talent say he's the best back since Peterson..

...and Joe McKnight was supposed to be Reggie Bush v 2.0

Anyone think he looks a lot like Alley Broussard? I played with him in high school and came to LSU with him when he started. Looks just like him.
