Is there any shot at Darnel Wright #1 OT?

He's the #1 OT and still uncommitted. He holds an offer from LSU and is leaning to Tennessee. UT already has Wanya Morris.

It would be nice if we could get him in for an official before Feb.

Doubtful at best. LSU just isn't known for developing OL and most top OL look elsewhere, but hopefully Thomas can help change that perception. If LSU wants to become a dominant program, it needs to start landing some of the top OL every year or nothing will change.

Don't know but sure hope we are working on him. Not sure we got a tackle in this year's group. Bradford and Perry may both end up being guards. Still hoping we get Parker but he didn't sign.

We have had solid guards. OT is the need. La'el Collins was 4 years ago, I think. Clapp & Cush have been solid centers the past couple of years.

Getting to block for 2 of the best RB recruits in the country can be enticing. I'm not sure the Vols can offer anything better for exposure or development.

To add to Jim's comments -we have more offensive linemen in the NFL than wide receivers, running backs, safeties, cornerbacks, linebackers or punters. Equal amount of D line.(active and injured)

Thank you.

..and just when you think it couldn't get any worse, he follows with this..

but hopefully Thomas can help change that perception.

How in the hell is Thomas going to change (the perception of) how LSU develops lineman?? Is he saying the others weren't coachable? The coaches all of a sudden can develope linemen now that Thomas is here? WTF??

Maybe he should’ve worded it as “LSU doesn’t develop tackles.” Then it would’ve had some truth to it. LSU has Trai Turner and Andrew Whitworth starting in the pros at tackle. These are the only 2 that played the position in college and professionally. The rest have been guards, centers, and a Les Miles run blocking tight end.

Where did you pull this crap from?

Trae Turner
Will Clapp
La'el Collins
Ethan Logic

Recently off the top of my head.

More likely Tennessee. No question he will have every school in the country trying to get him in for a visit. His recruitment is really about to pick up even though I'm sure it's been hectic already. Kids that wait have all the attention in January.

He just made that shite up. He read what a few people said about our bad offensive line and starts a topic about how we can’t develop anybody.

Classic rant poster

Traci Turner played guard at LSU and plays guard for Carolina

Maybe you meant La’El Collins?
