Everyone may have thought that because he was a Junior College All-American. He obviously doesn't play like one this year.

I have a feeling we may have some players transferring....

Malone is in need of the reverse side of conditioning. Lots of weight and strength needed.

He needs to work on speed and quickness.

I told everyone Odo was useless. Gray will be the difference maker. And Hornsby has shown great inside/outside abilities at practice.Scoring will not be the problem, we need to put more of an emphasis on Defense from day 1.

Im not even sure Robinson will play more than Malone next season with his conditioning.

I don't see this happening. Elbert won't get bullied like Malone. Jones will have to be smart about how he handles Robinson's minutes though. It'll depend on the opposing teams' forwards & playing style as well.

I thought it was a foregone conclusion JOB was gone after this year? IMO the key is getting Mickey and Martin back for another year and blending w/ our new guard talent like others stated(Hornsby and Gray).

Hornsby is somewhat proven even if at a smaller school.

Also I think Epps could be more of a factor than some think. Someone that can come off the bench and give the team 5-10 decent minutes a game and develop into a really good player by his JR year.

We're starting to hit a numbers crunch. If JOB does decide to come back, some other guys are going to have to transfer to make room for the incoming guys.

I think Epps contributes more than Elbert in year 1. Elbert will be a great 4 yr type player for LSU though. Looking forward to having the depth down low. If he comes in more ready than I expect it will mean we can keep Martin outside which would be nice.

Not going to happen. Every is seriously discounting Elbert here. Elbert will apart of the normal rotation where I think Epps will get similar minutes to Odo this year.

I think Malone needs to move to PF. Despite being 7 foot and pretty well built (230ish), he's way more confident in his jump shot over his post moves. I think he'd be more comfortable as a PF not having to guard the other team's biggest guy. The biggest problem there is a team with an athletic 4...cause he'd get 5 fouls in 5 minutes guarding a guy who's like 6'7 and quick.

I want to believe that Elbert is ready, but he better lose 30 pounds and learn to move his feet. I've watched a ton of film on him and he just looks too slow on defense. Gets lazy on defense also. Scares me that he will have even more trouble getting up to speed in college where the game is so much faster.

Just watch some of his game footage that isn't just "highlights". He doesn't seem like a star.

Yep. Just history over the last 6 years says not to expect too much from any incoming player.

Aaron Dotson was going to step right in for Thornton. Nope.

Andre Stringer was the PG we needed to fill the void left by Spencer's departure. Nope.

Hamilton was going to provide a few quality minutes for our undersized team. Exceeded expectations.

Malcolm White was going to be a needed inside presence. Nope.

John Odo was going to be a rebounding and defensive shot in the arm. Nope.

Jarrell Martin was going to come in an instantly be the teams best player. Nope.

Is just been one let down after another for years. I hope Robinson and all of our players perform well above expectations, but the last several years have been extremely underwhelming.
