Steve Wiltfong just put in a CB for 4* CB Joey Porter Jr. (son of former Pittsburgh Steeler LB) to LSU
Spiegs just put in a CB for Emery to the cow bells.
I know its early and all but damn losing Emery to the moo moos will hurt. Hopefully if he makes that decision our season and pitch can change his mind.

Yeah, he's the one I said the other day was who we were aiming high for that 4th spot. Right now you're looking at a possible class of Stingley, Hampton, Porter, and Bush. Tell me that ain't a damn haul for 1 class.

Rumors been swirling for a while now if Emery does commit somewhere on his bday early next month it would be to MSU, they have really sold him on being the workhorse there and the next Barkley

Man that sucks. I wish we could still get him, BUT IF he were to sign with Mississippi State, if we could get Cain as a result, I would be fine with that. I would be pretty pissed if we miss on both of them though.

Seems most RBS would rather split some carries nowadays, Emery seems to be of a different breed, which is interesting because he's definitely NOT a big back, nor even close to Barkley's size who they are selling him being like in college.

Nobody will ever be the next Barkley at MSU that’s a pipe dream but it sounds great. How about come be the first Emery and still get drafted in the first at LSU.

Did it ever occur to everyone that he just doesn't want to come to LSU? No one actually comes out and says that. They list football reasons that may or may not make any sense.
If he picks MSU, he'll likely be part of a committee. Don't read too much into what these kids say.

Emery likes LSU a lot, has a lot more to do with MSU selling him on being the man there (Barkley) and his dad working against LSU a lot.

If he wants to go to a school that has never won an SEC or National championship and won't in the next 3-4 years along with getting beat the frick up as the sole back, then let him. I think that great philosopher Forrest Gump said it best "stupid is as stupid does!!!"
