His low production is due to the fact that there’s almost no skill talent around him at Benton. They just got a new head coach so maybe things will get better for him.

Makes no sense to me to go to Michigan. They signed the greatest QB ever plus a 4* out of Cali last year. Why would anyone want to go there in order to wait and wait some more...

It almost appears that way, but I'd think the coaching staff has some magic up their sleeves.

I’m from Benton and I’ll say with this from my own experience. Zeigler is a camp product, because what you see on Friday night does not scream “4 star”. Yes, he has a good body and a nice arm, but the on field production doesn’t merit the ranking. As the local kid, I’d love to see him succeed, and hopefully the new coach helps him develop.
Im not going to bad mouth the kid either, but of the 4 mentioned, he is the only one i wouldn't want to recruit heavy. At the very least with the remaining 3, i would "settle, for baby Nuss". Zeigler hasn't shown anything, at least this early in his high school career, to warrant a LSU push for his commitment.

Of the 3, I would, take, baby Nuss is the least impressive, again, this early in his high school career.

I keep telling people, if Houston was in Texas (pun intended), or Cali, he would be much higher ranked. If he was 3 inches taller, he'd be in the top 10. I would be cool with either him or Haven (who reminds me of a young Cam Ward), but Houston is my top pick.

by the time he gets there, Underwood would be in his 3rd season.

As for reasons why a kid from Louisiana would want to go all the way up North other than academics, IDK.

Just get Hurley a chauffeur to keep his health as "job #1" for the training staff / adults in the room preventing Stupid Things, from occurring, that have nothing to do with football.

Last I heard Notre Dame was pushing really hard and he liked Ole Miss a ton but that was early this summer. Things could have changed.

if we miss out on all 3 of the in state QB for the '27 class, heads HAVE TO roll... that is absolutely inexcusable, IMO

So do we pay big bucks to 1 player or get a very good prospect for less and have money for other positions.I say pay someone from the portal with experience and skins on the wall.
