Coach O is locking up the best recruiting class in Ole Miss history.

I would like to hear an explanation from someone who follows this closer than myself.
I'm sure there's a reason. I just don't know it. No updated ratings lately? What is it?

Its pretty simple. Coaches dont look at website ratings and have their own ranking systems. Coaches factor in many other things other than skills on tape that the websites rank off of. Things like attitude, work ethic, needs, what area they are from. etc.

If some of these guys get a fourth star like it seems most here expect, what's the problem? Am I correct in saying that all three backs COULD get another star? I really don't see the issue.

This is strictly my opinion, but it's a combination of the staff doing their own evaluations, LA talent being kinda down this year, and it's hard to make a splash out of state when you have so much change within a program.
Every staff creates a board of targets at every position and tries to go and get those guys, this year that board just doesn't have as many stars on it for the reasons above I mentioned. Some guys will get bumps, we'll get some higher rated guys like Surtain and Marshall, and by February this class will land somewhere in the top 10.

God I hope you don't shite on one of the best days ever should my nephew commit to LSU.

Umm, we just got a commitment from the top RB in the state. 3 star or not, I'm cool with that. And I have no doubt he'll be a 4 star before signing day.

Visit went great Thursday. Progressing nicely.

I think it's quite the opposite. Austin Thomas is still doing what he does behind the scenes, the staff are doing evaluations, finding the guys they want including the camp evals and offers. Not to mention they are heavily recruiting 2019 and 2020 kids. A lot of people missed the fact that 2020 QB Max Johnson was at the camp throwing.

Guys, it's obvious, 13 3*'s = 7.8 5*'s.
It's simple math!

This made me laugh...

The crying about stars is nauseating. The post camp rankings are not even out.

You're just dumb man... all of these kids will contribute majorly! Getting solid depth this year very good class. So next year they can clean house! Ton of kids who are top 3 at their position feeling LSU. Going to be something special! And a 5 star came to me for some LSU stuff the other day out of trinity in FL

Honey Badger was a 3 star at this point in the recruiting process IIRC.

Yes, seems like under Miles every year there was one or two three stars who ended up as significant contributors/ starters. Every few years one of these was all SEC or even AA?
So far we have what, twelve contenders?
