My son's biggest obstacle is his 5-7, 210 lb daddy!! My son LOVES LSU and all sports, he knows more than I could ever imaging about sports at only 8. Very good athlete, Great baseball player. But I think he has Division 4 genetics. But if LSU did come calling!!

I would feel a little confused... as I have three girls!!!

I'd feel very proud and can only hope that any of my kids would be so fortunate as to get recruited by a D1 school - for it to be LSU would be the icing on the cake.
My kids (2 boys and a girl) were all born and have lived all their lives in Southern California but they all want to go to LSU. I still have season tickets to football and they have each been to LSU football games with me, and follow other LSU sports as well.
My oldest son is 15 and a sophomore in HS this year (that's him in my profile pic from his Freshman season). Since he first started playing baseball he has always said he wants to play baseball for LSU. He attended an LSU baseball camp when he was 11. He's begging me to take him on an unofficial visit this year to see a baseball game in person and to meet the coaches. I hope to make that happen for him the weekend of the spring game (gotta try to catch the football team if we're going to make the trip!!)....

I've got two girls, and they are both working their arses off looking for that LSU offer...it'll just be for swimming, not football!

Can really address the 'son' part but my daughter has received a few letters from LSU (communication is limited until her sept 1 of her JR year)for volleyball. She's a lifelong Tiger fan so if she gets an offer, she's going.
And I'd feel pretty f'ing ecstatic about it.

BIG meet this weekend, dad... I'll keep you posted!
The 14 year old has her chance at redemption in the 1000 free, since her 12 year old sister out swam her in that event last meet. It should be a VERY interesting race for me!!

Next year should be good for you when they split the two up....

I guess... but once they're both 15, there's no more splitting up by ages, so the big girl needs to get tough!

No kidding, South Gwinnett? My son plays O line and D line at Parkview (Mountain Park) in Lilburn. He's played 3 seasons so far, will be on the 11 yr. olds next season.
He was born in Nebraska, but a die hard Tiger fan like me.
