ya, id say that's about right, that is probably how long it takes an above average athlete to fully develop and adapt to the college game and become dominate, thanks for your insight

The two of you have officially left the farm......

Go back to the Rant.
Cadello was making fun of you and your lack of knowledge about LSU football, I.E.:not knowing how to spell Russell Shepard's name, despite proclaiming him as "the biggest recruit in the history of LSU"). Honestly, I didn't know that you were referring to Shepard when you were talking about "the biggest recruit in the history of LSU", I thought you were talking about Randle. Either way you were retarded, but Shep wasn't even the biggest recruit in the 2009 class, much less the history of LSU.
Your retort about Tebow is ridiculous. You ran your mouth without knowing what you were talking about and then acted like taking 1 snap was a big difference. Also, comparing a heisman winner with 2 NC's with a currently unproven QB only amplifies your idiocy.
Flame threads go on the rant. Keep your garbage off of the Recruiting board.

P.S. Please dont zap me into another dimension. Your 1 million posts must have moved you up to like Grand White Wizard or something.....

Maybe we could convince Chicken to implement a 15,000 posts per year limit? By the time the season got here, SFP would have burned through his limit...

Even after a win the retards come out.

I probably lie somewhere in the middle in this debate. A true stud like Peterson will always get playing time, but Les does defer to his older players more than other coaches.
PP-agreed.
Hatcher and Edwards-somewhat agreed, they aren't superstars so they don't merit starting this early on, but they get some minutes.
Randle-came in for two or three plays and blocked. Definitely not a huge impact.
Brooks-redshirt sophomore who still doesn't get much playing time.
Loston-I will give the staff a pass because he wasn't available for most of practice, but did he do anything besides special teams?
Baker-still mostly on special teams

They got the same number of snaps just about as Trent Richardson, and most others did. DeAngelo Benton reportedly played shitty for Auburn, and had 0 receptions.
There were plenty of things to criticize, but this isn't one of them. This board's fascination with Shep is a little ridiculous.

I would definately like to see Baker and Brooks get some more PT....

Has never happened...We have had 5 star, 4 star, etc BUT NO ONE IN THE HISTORY OF OUR PROGRAM HAS BEEN AS CELEBRATED OF A RECRUIT AS SHEPARD. He needs to play somewhere. he is a playmaker and will change a game (i.e. Percy Harvin) you and you other two posters just don't get it......

What I don't get is how you can compare him to Percy Harvin when he hasn't stepped foot on the field. FWIW, I thought Harvin's high school filmed looked better than RS's easy. Harvins are rarely born.

Patrick Peterson #5 overall, Shep #7 overall, TT #13 overall
By the way, RR #2 overall
Him being from another state makes him no bigger of a recruit than RR. Here's your logic. If you want to be the best recruit LSU has ever had, you must be from another state.

In Rivals, Shep was not top 5, but that Patrick Johnson guy was. Shame he didn't make it here...

I personally thought our Shep and Randle would get more looks. They probably would have if we had more than 48 plays from scrimmage
but that's another topic
Anyone catch the Georgia game???? I was surprised at how many touches Branden Smith the 5* corner last year from georgia got. He got a couple of screens and even ran the wildcat a couple of times.
Orson Charles got some touches too.

He would have been great for the future of our passing game. Almost a receiver in a TE's body.

I thought he was. i didn't know he was the tight end until they said his name. Caught a nice 20yarder or so

If Shepard were ready to play and was making that big of an impact in practice he would have seen touches...
HS kids rarely come into college and make impacts on their teams. It does happen but rarely and usually because theres a need at that position.
I think Les can handle the coaching, and RS will get his PT when the time is right.
BTW I am a huge RS fan, so is 99% of the people here.
