So what's the deal with Jeremy Hill? What's his status? it may have been said in earlier in the thread and I missed it. Apologies if so.

Alot of people thought Hilliard would be moved to linebacker.

....and he still continues to downplay Hilliards play this year....

Hilliard has been impressive, no doubt. But his highlights have come against these 2 teams.

I am not a recruiting guru but based on the films I saw last year I expected hill to contribute faster. He seemed to have better vision and speed and adequate power. To me Hilliard looked fat and slow to get going and I thought he needed a redshift year to lose fat and harden up.

I WAS WRONG

At least you admit that and not continue to beat your "Hilliard's runs were against shitty defenses that play in the Sun Belt."

I would say early 2/3 of posters thought Hill>Hilliard. I guess they could still be right, but then WOW

Reports were that he has been working out at lsu and may become a part of this class. Also reports that his charges were dropped.

Now of course this hasn't been backed up by any credible source (not that I know of at least).

i think we will have too many running backs. it's pretty damn hard to get them carries now. imo, we need to convert somebody to another position.

would love to see Blue play some receiver. I think he could be an Anquan Bolden type.

I think Blue has the athleticism to start at LB for us next year, if he could learn the position. Now that he's the 4th string RB (at best), I'd encourage him to switch.

I think Blue is fine where he's at, IMO.

I love his running style. I think he has very good vision and decent breakaway speed.

Yea it would be nuts to move Blue, he's one if the best RBs we have.

He doesn't need a big hole either. When Lonergan was out and Herbert was gimpy Blue ran well through some small creases.

I was really surprised he didn't get carries against Bama as that seemed like a good situation for him. Hope he gets some carries against Georgia's big defensive linemen.

Hammy issue, I believe. Could be cleared by then but that's why he didn't play vs. Arkansas.

I remember what he remembers. Most felt Hill was a better running back.

I seem to remember him outrunning the Ole Miss secondary–they may not be a good group, but they certainly aren't "slow". I think his speed is underrated at this point.

Also Hill had 282 yards rushing against Patterson when they played them on ESPN. I think Hilliard had 130 or so yards but if I remember right he was gimpy.. Redemptorist was clearly the better team, especially with La'el blocking more than one guy nearly every play. In that one game Hill just looked more explosive, but maybe he had bigger holes to explode through. That was the only time I saw either of them play

Pretty sure Patterson beat them on the road to the dome when it counted therefore Patterson was the better team and KH was the better back. he was hurt/gimpy nearly all year and he had a below average o-line unlike RHS. just my opinion tho.
