If that is true, then we are going to burn the sec down with a power running game the next 2 years!!!

Hillard
Ware
Hill
Ford
Blue
Magee
Bourque

I think you are remembering wrong!

Edit: Most people argued about what each one of them brought to the table. i.e. Hill a little faster but played behind a lot better O-Line while Hillard a little slower but better downhill runner.

I was going to put him there, but didn't want to misspell his name

Well maybe not a clear favorite, but some here did claim that, which is why I am asking.

Maybe when Bourque gets here he will see that earlier PT will come as a WR and switch over. I don't think he's much of a power guy, and ford and Magee will be super tough to beat out. Plus that prototype doesn't seem to get the load of carries in the Miles system.

Of course some people will always say things that cannot be proven. But for the most part, most knowledgeable people understood that both brought 2 different elements to the table.= and would make a great 1/2 punch.

Extremely. The problem lies where he will be playing. As good as a RB as he could be his potential is a lot higher at WR right now. He has the talent to step in and play the type of role OBJ and JL have played this year for us.

You've got it backwards. There were some (a reasonable number...not just one or two), but the concensus was clearly the opposite.

It was quite a mix of people liking Hill better and people liking Hilliard better. I personally liked Hilliard and Magee better but did warm up some to Hill after seeing some film of his sr season. He ran tougher and with more authority as a sr. I think Hill has better physical tools overall than Hilliard but at rb that doesn't mean much quite often.

Hilliard didn't really get a chance to do much in his all star game. Had an up and down week at practice. Hill did have a better game in his(the offense-defense bowl which is a good all star game but not on the same level as the Army or Under Armour games) but also got more opportunities. He still wasn't great in the game. Most analysts were disappointed with his effort in practice.

I think that there were more people calling for Hilliard to be the guy to change positions and not Hill shows that he might be right, there was more of a consensus on Hill than Hilliard. That may have just been bias for the faster RB, however. LSU fans love paper speed on RBs, nevermind that the best big play RB in LSU history wasn't THAT fast.

Also Hill had 282 yards rushing against Patterson when they played them on ESPN. I think Hilliard had 130 or so yards but if I remember right he was gimpy.. Redemptorist was clearly the better team, especially with La'el blocking more than one guy nearly every play. In that one game Hill just looked more explosive, but maybe he had bigger holes to explode through. That was the only time I saw either of them play.
