Damn they just letting one after the other go. Was really hoping to get at least one of either Williams or French. Shoulda known it was all talk just for them to choose someone else in the end.

“Letting them go” is an awful way to look at things. If you offer a competitive NIL deal and a great coaching staff and the kid chooses to stay closer to home then that’s that. Same thing with Louisiana kids choosing us instead of trying their luck out of state.

There are some people in Texas that are from LSU and are extremely familiar with high end safety play that think LSU is still right in the thick of it with Williams.
The thing with both A&M and Texas fans is that they aren't really the most realistic. They really think they lead for every guy they are recruiting, and are legitimately shocked when they have a kid flip away from them or pick another team outright, and that extends to their insiders.
So with Texas kids that LSU is pursuing, I don't believe anything from anyone from their side until the kid actually comes out with it.
However, him not coming to the splash or visiting before the dead period really has to make you wonder if LSU hasn't been crossed off the list. He has certainly visited LSU a ton and could chooser us based off his previous experience, but I just have a hard time seeing it happen without him visiting us once more.
Now if he commits to UT or A&M, but comes to visit for a game during the season, all bets are off, but at this point, disregarding all the other noise, his actions say he's probably not picking LSU on his commitment date, but my caveat is if he comes for a game during the season, I could absolutely see him flipping.
I'm over here crawfishing my arse off lol. His recruitment is hard to read, because hes been one of those kids who's favorite seems to be whomever he visited last.
