Nah man I just notice the little things. Its well known knowledge that he still communicates with OSU and USC. He's supposedly an early signee so if he's gonna do something he'll have to do it soon.

Naquans issue is that he had no season to improve or cement his spot. Fresh eyes on kids that played. Updating the board is vital in this era. Another low key trend that Saban is credited with.

Right but he would have decommitted by now.

You actually said you were worried about raesjon since he wasn't wearing his lsu wristband.

Raesjon is the leader of this class and is recruiting for lsu.
Maason is already on board.

I believe foreman is too

Yes they do. Which is why I never understood fans getting pissed at these players when they “opt out” yet say NOTHING about these coaches telling a long time commit to “look elsewhere”.

The SEC needs to revoke the 25 limit. It means that kids absolutely must be processed by the major programs. If we could take 28 or 29 this year, then we wouldn't have this issue. But the 25 limit per class is wrong too because it punishes schools like LSU for success. We only have something like 68 real scholarship players on the team right now, because of our early departures for the NFL and the opt-outs.

Lol. And return to the Bear Bryant ways of doing things? No thanks.

Imagine if we hadn't taken Shanahan and Darren Evans. We'd have 2 extra spots to soften the blow of this kind of shitty thing

Darren Evans seems to be a mistake however his time here is not over and Shanahan is literally starting so i cant say that was a mistake

Hopefully Evans and Shanahan use their Covid year and return next year. An offseason and extra year could work wonders for both.

Shanahan is starting and Evans has played in 6 games. I think the lack of an offseason hurt a lot of people. Evans signed just before the season started.

He’s god awful. Not strong enough to be an SEC C and gets blown up every play. Doesn’t appear to be a leader on the line despite his Ivy League education.

I’m not it sure another year is going to make Shanahan better equipped to handle SEC DL but maybe Darren Evans could improve although I wouldn’t hold my breath. Shanahan gets blown up regularly, he’s just overmatched out there. I’m hoping by fall camp either Charles Turner or Marlon Martinez can make a big jump and take the job.

Haha. You think turner isnt going to get blown up?

Have you seen him
Shanahan is much bigger.
Marlon Martinez might be able to do it but as far as I know they haven't even tried him there.

The NCAA also needs to give teams a recovery option to counteract the negative effects of the portal. For example, for every player a team loses to the portal, they should be able to bring in a guy to replace that scholarship through the portal, grad transfer or FCS without any impact on recruiting.

The portal is all fine and good, but it can put a team in a real hole if you can’t recruit more than 25 in a class.

Come on, man. There’s a 1000 miles of space between a and b there. They just need to loosen the reigns a bit and give teams who are down in scholarships the ability to get back to the full limit. They can do that without leaving the barn door open.

I sure hope we learned our lesson on processing people and not signing a full class on prospects you thought you MIGHT end up with. Better have back up plans this time around. It really took a bite in our arse last class getting a bit of a big head.

Yeah but you should treat it the same, not you specifically, but in general. Don't talk shite about players leaving when coaches can literally turn down recruits a day before signing day (I have seen this before), and the fanbase usually says, "ah, gee, that's too bad...so who's the 4-5 star we're replacing him with"!?

Players are only playing the game how it goes and fans act crazy when they do.
