I don't agree. If we won the last 3 along with multiple NC's, getting more money from bama won't make them go there.

You do know that 5 of alabama starting 11 are from LA or where commuted to LSU.. it's pretty upsetting. Imagine white, Phillips, Moses, with Lawrence Alexander and bugs with delpit greedy, fulton, Carter, sustain and smith

No, you are the “Dumb arse” here...OP was right...LSU starts beating Bama and winning National Championships and you will run Saban out of the state of LA!!!!

Why? How could that be? It all comes down to (#1) time management, (#2) productivity, and (#3) results vs. effort...

1. If Saban has to spend too much time on LA recruits vs. going elsewhere, he will give up on LA or reduce his time spent here.

2. If the well dries up, he will quit lowering the water bucket - the first LA kid that tells him LSU beat Bama’s arse last year and has a recent NC - Saban will realize it will be tough sledding with LA recruits until he can reestablish dominance over LSU with greater than 50% win ratio - if any LSU coach goes 50% against Bama as Miles did pre 2011 - Saban will be ineffective in LA - this is fact - look back at 2007-2011 recruiting classes - Saban was second fiddle to Miles with LA kids.

3. If LSU starts beating Bama - Saban’s results of landing LA kids will plummet and they won’t be worth the effort to recruit them...Saban is calculated, organized, scientific, and genius IQ or close to it. The process, rinse & repeat what works.

If O can beat Bama 1 of two, every other year, watch what happens...

Another dumbass that doesn’t understand how national brands work.
If you’ve been around like I have you’ve seen this story before. It was called Bear Bryant.
BAMA is THE National Brand of college football. Accept that.
You pair a great coach with a National brand, you get what you have. Yes, you might beat them once in a while, but their sustained success is what separates them from the rest.
They beat us 11 straight years in the ‘70’s. 11. In 1978 we played them and USC and both were #1. That was the toughest season I can remember. We were a damn tough team and went toe to toe with both.
I hope is pours this weekend like 1979.
Bryant used to pile up recruits so other schools couldn’t get them. He was partly the reason there were limits installed if you really go back and look.

30 straight years Bama beat LSU in Tiger Stadium - I’m well aware of the record you MORON !!!!!! And, I know what and who broke the tend....Saban and winning where LSU became a national brand...

And, it can be repeated again with the right coach who can go 50/50 with Saban....I don’t know if it’s Orgeron or some other coach, but Saban can be beaten...you are just another Saban worshiping whore....I’m not giving up - a good crew on BOS like Charlie Wheems leading it and we will get the right coach...

I don't think losing will hurt much, but winning might help.

LSU isn’t a national brand.
ND
UT
USC
Michigan.

It’s kind of insane what Saban was able to do in his short time here. 2 sec championships and 1 NC in 5 years. He had 2 #1 classes and 2 #2 classes.

The talent he accumulated didn’t even show completely til after he left, with those 2005 and 2006 crazy talented teams.

1. Surtain was never committed here
2. His point was Louisiana talent, you've now shifted to include people that were committed to LSU as well. We're now including two players from Florida for some reason
3. Point still stands it isn't Louisiana talent putting them over the edge. They get talent from everywhere and could find other talent if they had to. They have commits from multiple kids in Maryland right now, New Jersey, DC, Illinois, their QB is from Hawaii, RB from California. People that we would accept commitments from today are waiting to see if Bama's class has space for them. They get people from EVERYWHERE.

This describes Miss St recruiting. That's where we would be if we took that approach.

Also not all 5 stars are Drama Queens. That's starism, we don't tolerate that in our program.

None.

These kids have their minds made up in regards to state of programs. That happens at an early age.

That's why Florida St's program still has a damn good recruiting class right now. In their minds their visions of FSU was cemented years ago (Jimbo's early years) when they were younger and their minds were more impressionable.

Same with Oregon's program. They've been awful lately, but those kids remember the Chip years most vividly.

I wouldn't say "depends on", but it's time. The streak needs to end...especially considering we have to go to Tuscaloosa next year.

Yeah, but it wouldn’t buy them a job. You can’t retire and raise another kid in high school on $100k. That’s without knowing if they have any other kids.

I would add not giving up the “big play.” Gotta be disciplined and play your role and assignments.
Don’t let them get 1st downs on 3rd and long or 3rd and medium much. That’ll make for long drives that eat up clock and wear down a front line. Gotta do that to them to keep their offense off the field, keeping our defense fresh and keeping their defense off balance.
On offense, mix it up. Keep them guessing and honest. Short to medium passes and screens if their linebackers are playing up. Then long balls to keep their safeties and cb’s honest.
Offense has to play fast. No huddle. Keeping Burrow clean is a must. Can do some designed qb runs, but can’t take big hits.
