Quinn is a winner and a clutch player. Forget about how many stars he has. He made a catch 2 years ago at Tulane in the baseball state tournament game I don't believe any other kid in LA high school would make. The ball was hit deep in the left center gap headed for the fence with the bases loaded and 2 outs. It was drilled closer to the left fielder though. Quinn came out of nowhere from center field and fully extended on the run over his head makes the catch. Incredible. If he wasn't out there Barbe goes home that day because that would have cleared the bases in a 1 run game. They ended up winning the title that year. I have never seen a high school player get a jump on the ball and use his speed the way Quinn did. He won the tourney for them that day.

Only reason I can see is that he is a slot receiver playing in a pass happy system. Rummel shut him down in the dome. When you match a kid on him who can cover him he does get open. A lot of his tds are scramble tds. Against Wash. Marion he was covered but Fontenot scrambling and slinging it downfield does wonders for stats. Thats the only reason I can see him jot getting that star. What top db has he gone up against this year in 5A? He should get that star but I can see folks argument too. Landry is strong. Huge hands too. Odell is the same way. Kids on these camp circuits know who is good and who is not. They are there.

I agree , it's because he is white . But it's ok , TQ will show everyone why he is a stud no matter how many stars he has

How in the hell is trey quinn not a 5 star or a high 4Just had an arguement with a friend who said he is just not 5 star material. Well i beg to differ!! They said its all because he has a really good qb. And that he is short which is why he is not a 5. I reminded them real quick that jarvis landry was a 5 star same build and did not come close to running what quinn can run as far as speed. What do yall think
Quinn is a 5 star if I ever saw one period. He will have his opportunity to prove some people wrong at the all star practices. Remember, Jarvis Landry was underrated when he went into the all star game practices, and by the end of the week he was a 5 star, and had (I believe it was) Bill Parcells praising him as receiver the best receiver there.

I am also curious to know if ESPN had a headline story when
Dorial Green-Beckham broke the record because I just went on ESPN.com and didn't see anything about Trey Quinn breaking the record.
I would think this would be a noteworthy story, at least on the recruiting site.

If he tears it up at the army game practices he'll get his due

good point...I forgot about that...that's what Tre'Davious did last year....I'm sure it can and will happen with Quinn

LOL, he's 6'1'', that's decent size for a WR.
It's the white thing. I'm fine with it. Hopefully opponents will underestimate him as well.

TQ will be Jennings' and Harris' 5 star go to receiver over the next few years

...which is reasonable, IMO.
When was the last time a white WR was taken in the first round of the NFL draft?
Is Quinn going to break the mold?

Star status won't matter when he is carving up defenses in P&G for the next 3-4 years.

Because he's not going to Bama. He's obviously not that good if Saban hasn't offered, just ask the Saban recruiting services.
