I knew several athletes that went to Episcopal basically for free when I was there.
They hand out "financial aid" on a "per need" basis and it just happened that several top athletes needed it more than others
I'm not going to name their names and EHS is far from a sports powerhouse (and is known for academics), but it even happened there.

Seems like something shady going on there. Even if its students loans or financial aid. Something is shady.
I sure hope LSU alumni are donating to these charity cases.

If every kid there is on scholarship, who is paying the bills?
Do they have non athlete students that go to that school?
There are tons of other IMG students that pay big tuition and tons of alumni donate to the school. Its a money making factory at this point.
I believe they also get tons of endorsements to try and hook these big time athletes on a brand early on.

Ouachita Christian offered me a full ride in 1979. I can tell you the person that called my house had a son that played QB at LSU and so did he.
I did not go because we were moving out of state.

I think that groups like TAF funnel a lot of money into those academies

That would show up in their financials however...

How do these IMG kids afford 72,000 dollar tuition?

s called work study. It's basically a job. You don't say you got your car for free when you worked to pay for it, do you? So to say a kid goes for free, but does work study, is disingenuous.
A lot of the schools have programs for kids to earn the tuition through work.
