Neither did Janzen Jackson or Toshiro Davis.
I don't see how those situations are similar at all at this point.

May be a simple as Laurence watching some LF film, and thinking "do I really want to have to tackle that guy for 2 or 3 years?" lol

Does this mean Memphis is unbanned?

Lsu can contact hootie as much as they want because he signed financial papers to both lsu and bama...there is no way the staff turns down his commitment if he wants to come to lsu.

Edit: Red just painted a clear picture in the that last post...
...I forgot he signed papers with both...
Nonetheless...the recruits can contact the coaches as much as they want during the dead period

Sucks that the recruiting dead period is going on so coaches cant get with both adams and jones
Hootie signed a finacial aid agreement with LSU which gave coaches unlimited contact, does that still count through the dead period ?

with the best being the confirmation that Hootie did indeed decommit.

Word is that contact is still allowed but he can't visit

No senior in high school "deserves" to be thrown under a bus because he didnt choose the school you wanted him to.
It's pretty clear that he realizes that he made a mistake by committing impulsively. Give the kid a break.

correct. "contact" and "visit" are two different things. I'm sure at least Brick, if not Frank or CLM, are on the cell right now.
I wouldn't doubt that Hootie contacted at least LSU (others???) just before so he didn't get too many people on him at once. He's proved to be that savvy before.
I hope Adams is calling in too. We need you in P&G Jamal!!!

The timing of this decommitment is just weird
Day after Clifton Garrett selects lsu
Dead period
Literally 72 hours post the visit to his previous college choice
What gives? I mean, in all seriousness, WTF is happening (loud noises)

No. Dead Period = Dead Period. Nothing to circumvent it.

If he called RIGHT NOW to commit, I do not believe they would take it, at least publicly.

There is no way that he is not a take.

Was referring to the post about Janzen Jackson.. Not Hootie

I don't understand where this thinking that we can't take hootie and jamal is coming from... if either one committed we would take that commitment in a heartbeat
