There are many in this state who shite on Miles and kiss the ground Saban walks on. I am sure Saban takes full advantage of it when recruiting top talent in the state.

Steve and stud are just taking up space. Cooper may have hated recruiting off campus but at least he could actually coach his position group.

I'm not even sure where Jackson sits at this point, but if LSU landed him, none of you bitching here would have a problem with it. All of you just take this in-state garbage too personally. If there is a kid that is just as talented lined up, then let the kid from La. go. I don't care as long as he's replaced with another.
I believe it's an issue of having followed the local talent for years in hopes of seeing them suit up as a Tiger.

Egg, I think you make a great point. I would like to see some tremendous recruiters who are willing to carry their share of the load, something Stud & Ensminger are definitely not doing.

Ed: Hey
Jamal: Hey
Ed: Would you like to accompany me to LSU this Friday?
Jamal: I would love that, it will be a riveting time.

He just isn't really in tune with what is going on. That's not a criticism. I'm just saying that if you go back and consider where your confidence is coming from on other recruits, if Memphis is your source, you might want to reconsider the validity.
My guess is he is a "read the tea-leaves" kind of guy. As such, he's going to be right more often than not...but give no real insight in reality.
his problem is he kind of "doubles-down" if someone questions him and starts stretching what he claims to know.

Thats what TE coaches basically do...recruit(especially when your TEs are rarely involved in the passing game)
Gotta keep the bbq crew intact i guess. The ribs aint gonna braise themselves.

I don't think steve is sitting on his arse doing nothing, I'm sure he's trying but he's clearly not all that effective

Interesting comment from Andrew Lopez, who is also up there interviewing Hootie. Matches what Sonny said.
"Hootie says he woke up an LSU commit then prayed on it before he got to school. Said Bama just felt right."

I was trying to tell people this last night, as I have a sister-in-law from Monroe who told me that lots of folks up there don't really like LSU.
STFU with that garbage. Your source is your sister-in-law for all things LSU football? Do you know how stupid you look now?

letting them go in order to bring in younger, more energetic guys who connect with recruits is paramount.
I don't know who we'd lose if Ens left, but if Hootie was the price we had to pay to get Stud to find another job then I consider it a fair trade. Maybe Cam knows an NFL OL coach who could use a job.
Not to further depress this thread, but we really have to start preparing for the inevitable; Frank Wilson getting an OC or HC offer he can't refuse. How solid the rest of the staff is at that point will have a resounding impact on LSU. If it happened tomorrow, we'd be beyond fricked. But, in a roundabout way, Hootie and CRob may have just been the catalysts for some very positive long term changes.
