Just wanna put my two cents in and say, it's a crime no matter who said yes or no. The parents in a case like this don't even have to do the charge pressing. If the state wants to pursue it they can and will. As you can see I don't post much but after reading some of the ridiculous comments on this thread I had to comment.

The issue here is that she was 14 years old and he was 18, not if the girl is a whore or that 14 yr olds are having sex around the country. We all know there are plenty of slutty girls in high school, that is nothing new. Whether this is public, private, or Catholic school, an 18 year old shouldn't be hooking up with a 14 year old under any circumstance.

I think the boys should be on probation and the girl should have her jaw wired shut.
IF she is blowing multiple guys at the age of 14 then she is allowing too many foreign objects into her mouth.
Seriously, being pissed enough to want to bury 2 18 year old kids, yes I said kids, makes me think that a person is very naive. They should be punished. Buried? No.

Maybe you didn't go to a school with pretty girls. I dated plenty of 9's and 10's in high school, no shite, but I also dated a freshman. I did figure out that she was too immature for my immature butt, could have easily made a similar mistake though. It sucks that when you are that age you think you are grownup but you are just a kid. On a side note I would like to apologize to every girl I dated in highschool's father, I didn't know that we looked 12.

True in defining a crime has been committed. False in determining the sentence the young man will be handed. Consent matters in how the judicial system treats the incident (plea deals, sentence, sex offender's list, etc), so it absolutely matters.

While I don't entirely disagree with this, I've always thought that this law was flawed. When I was a freshman in high school, I dated a senior who turned 18 after we started dating. By the letter of the law, she could have been arrested for some of the stuff we did. According to the law, it was legal for us to have sex up until her 18th birthday, then suddenly it wasn't. Stupid. There should be a sliding scale that looks at age difference to account for this. Technically, I was guilty later for the opposite reason. I was dating a sophomore when I graduated and we dated for over a year and were still dating when I was 19 and she was 17.
All of that said, what they did was stupid. If they did force her to do it, they should be prosecuted regardless of their age.

Well, if I had a daughter that was a freshman in high school voluntarily blowing 2 seniors, how would I feel???? I would feel like I needed to do some more parenting....putting it mildly.
Obviously we are not debating the issue if it was forced. Nobody disagrees with the punishment in that scenario.
