It's probably jumping the gun a little bit, but I would say there's a very good chance Herron flipped, unless the part about his mom is true.
The fact that any LSU site feels confident means nothing. When a guy is jumping ship, he isn't going to tell Sonny and Shea that he's jumping ship. The sites of the schools that are about to lose the recruit are always the very last to know.
But fwiw, this seems to be a completely idiotic move on Herron's part. The program has squandered so much talent over the past few years.

Ain't that some shite. Guess we'll see. Stuff with RN looks the same. Had a great visit and nobody really has a clue what he is gonna do? And then supposedly there is some "boom" that is suppose to happen on NSD? Am I all caught up? ha

And to add to the shitstorm. Anytime there is this much smoke, there always seems to be bitter disappointment for LSU fans. Steel yourself, or lube yourself. Whatever helps. It's coming.
Well this is true

1 of 2 thought McKnight was coming to LSU. The other was at the movies and missed the whole ordeal.

Catastrophe Syndrome.
Team is 34-6 over the past 3 years and has a top 5 recruiting class and people think that only bad things happen to LSU.
Wah, wah, wah.

Herron is 50/50
Robinson's grades are becoming more of a factor
Boutte is nothing to worry about
RN has a legitimate chance to be at LSU :ducks:

Fwiw, I think the LSU sites are much better run than those of some other SEC schools, namely Auburn's sites after the national title.
But they were definitely burned by Torshiro, Landon Collins, and to a lesser extent, McKnight.

Sources with direct contact with the recruiting coordinator thought he was going to LSU.
Even all the boosters thought he was coming. Even tigerlawyer
Until 30 minutes before his commitment. And that is my point.

WE should just talk that creepy dude in pretending to be a Texas fan and start tweeting Herron's family.
That make me not commit for sure.....

Mack Brown's tenure at UT is less than precarious.
Big 12 OL/DL trenchline play level << SEC's
Horns are OU and K St's b!tch..barely win Holiday Bowls vs Pac chumps.
Austin, UT education, and coeds rate much higher as a reson imho >>> than being a Horn footballer with any faint hopes of hardware anytime soon.

Does being "committed" really mean anything anymore? It should just be called something else because any committed player is free to do whatever they want until their LOI is faxed in.

Janzen Jackson was just waiting for his mom to sign his LSU LOI, remember? :meanstreetsofwelsh:

Good deal! Thanks man. I hope Herron is smart about this is about all I have to say on this topic...

Yeah, these all sound reasonable.
From the beginning, I was concerned a bit about Herron though not from Texas. Figured we would lose Robinson, Leslie would never qualify, same with the longshots like McNeil and Gardner. But no major surprises from the other commitments.
What exactly is the latest on Cutrer and Lawson though? Both are still listed as LSU commitments as far as I can tell, but I doubt Lawson will come here if he has valid offers anywhere else.
