Gotta respect his decision. Being up front and giving your home state school a chance is all anyone can ask. Plenty of people just want to get away from home and there is nothing wrong with that. Just don't lead people on the wrong way like some do. Where ever he goes, I hope he does well.

At least he isn't jerking around the staff and screwing another kid out of a scholarship, so props to him

He is following a guy he's known since he was 7 years old, and he wants to get out of LA. I don't think he expects Tuscaloosa Alabama to be Portland.

The thread was a response to those saying "LSU's shite offense and lack of WR development" is why he is/will spurn LSU.

Fair enough.. Completely respect that decision. Some people just want to go out of state for school for a different experience. At least he was upfront with that desire early in the process and didn't string the coaching staff along.

This. So long as the kid doesn't deliberately string the staff along just to stick it to them in the end and doesn't bash the university and fanbase I'm sure he'll have no issue from LSU fans. Sounds like a straight forward kid. Hope he has great success in Miami or Nebraska.

If he wants to out of state he should go to Miami or USC. Mississippi or Alabama? Louisiana is better.

I just rather wait to the end of the season, because it sounds like the wild receivers we have are bigger just as fast taller and getting better. Because I think in 2018 they have a better receiver than him that is Lsu's to lose

Y'all are underestimating the life of a bama football player at bama...

Alabama may suck as a state, but the experience is obviously different if you're on the football team

He would not play for 2 years at LSU.

Anyone thinking or saying differently is delusional.

Bama is Louisiana without the culture.

Mississippi State is Bama without the culture and without the winning thingy.

If he picks Bama or MSU, he is full of shite. I am found that 9 out of every 10 recruits who can't wait to leave their home end up being major disappointments.

Wanting to get away from home is a huge reason some of these guys go out of state. Your post is on point and I believe this kid just wants to get far away from home and experience life on his own.

I have a kid that dreams of leaving the state and moving to New York and nothing I can do to change this.
