No everyone knows the rules. They are breaking the rules and I believe it's also an issue of ethics. A)These recruits aren't paying tuition get real and B) They are cutting players at their own discretion and making them sign voluntary withdrawal statements. Probably paying them to do that too.

If you believe that Nick Saban and Alabama are the only ones who know the recruiting book down to a science you're an idiot.

They've been caught cheating plenty. Unfortunately just not during Saban's time there and whatever their system is seems to be untraceable. Unlike whatever the hell Funnes was doing with money from a damn hospital.

The hilarious thing is that there are quite a few Bama fans who actually believe Bama doesn't don't cheat.

Yeah, well they have quite a few fans who are married to first and second degree relatives, too.

You don't think some people are better at reading rules and regulations and seeing angles and loopholes than others?

This is what makes some lawyers and accountants great and others mediocre.

Seriously, can someone explain how they are able to do things that no other school can year after year?

Its easy. Saban treats the shcolarships like the 1 year scholarships they actually are.

So say for example a player sucks or doesnt pan out. You just tell them to leave and then give their scholarship to someone else.

O has said that he knows how Saban does it and while it is legal its not how he wants to run his program.

This doesn't impact the 25 player limit on initial counters, only the 85 player overall limit.

Reminds me of the Bear Bryant days when he would oversign just to keep recruits away from other schools.

I absolutely do but doesn't really apply here. The NCAA handbook isn't difficult at all to understand and not really open to interpretation.

I could not disagree more. The recruiting sections are full of gray areas.

The section on grey shirting is clear. They count against the following year’s 25. They have signed/transferred 27-29 3 years in a row. That math doesn’t work homie.

Bo Bordelon would be the perfect example of someone who should be talked into being a walk-on

The main reason they are able to do this and do is because there are way more than 25 quality recruits who want to sign with them. LSU could work the system to sign 28 or 29 guys, but they wouldn’t be quality players so it isn’t worth it. We often seem to have a hard time getting 25 guys who are talented enough to warrant a scholarship.

Bull. You can sign 25 per year. Period.

They’ve gone over 3 years in a row. So unless these ‘quality players’ you’re describing are walkons.... it doesn’t fricking matter

There are players who are talented enough to be in any other team’s 25 but would rather grey shirt just to go to bama.

Umm. You think people aren’t trying to?

Nobody is excusing losses. We are simply pointing out the obvious double standards and hypocrisy that the Bama football program and its fans represent.
