yeah, he wanted to commit a month ago, but his Dad told him think about it some more and don't rush into it. That's why I feel his Dad had some kind of underlying intention, maybe consider Bama more with them being from Alabama, but the kid said he's really into LSU so let him do what he feels, that's what I would do with my son.

I can understand why his dad would ask him to be patient. And keeping him close to home wouldn’t be anything abnormal with families of recruits. I’m sure he will be super proud if he picks Lsu. We’re not at Bama level but we still a top program nationally.

Maybe he just wants his son to make the right decision so that once he commits, he is 100% COMMITTED. He just doesn't want his son to flip flop. Don't blame him. We can tell though that joiner is a silent commit, so hold that tiger

That was my assessment of him as well. May not be ready right off, but you have to take a kid like that and help him see what the best fit for him is. He will get bigger and hopefully faster is he wants to play RB.
