There are actually 3 spots remaining with Kelvin Joseph's commitment at the all-star game.. In my opinion KJ is a unique playmaker..1)Joseph 2)Chase 3)Surtain, and whoever you want would be STRONG!!

BTW he just picked up a CB to LSU yesterday.
HOLD THE PHONE. WE GOT A GUESS FROM SOMEBODY!!!!
quote:venturing a GUESS... might still be some other machinations going on with the numbers and appeals to the starting point counters (last year's classes).
Then why would they be putting such a full court press on Foster?

It was simply a statement that he got a new CB. Sometimes these guys have some inside info that leads them to make a projection. Sometimes they don't I was just passing it along.
You can make a sarcastic douche comment if you wish IN ALL CAPS. But hey, a douche is gonna do what a douche is gonna do.

I think we are gonna end up getting Foster to sign. He is really high on the tigers right now and I just don't see him going to Bama to sit behind Tua until another 5 star passes him up. Come to LSU with a shot to start this fall.

Yea, I don't believe anyone knows for a FACT the true number besides LSU. And they may not even know for sure if there are any type of appeals or disputes still to be resolved.

The appeal for Foster is that he has a high ceiling. The biggest downside for him is his consistency issues. He can be accurate and dynamic just not on every snap. I don’t believe he would challenge to start as a freshman but would be a project that could challenge to start in a couple of years.

I'd guess the melt around here would calm down for like a day or two if we landed Foster...
Hi! I'm delusional.

No one is going to like my opinion on this, but I'd prefer the final 3 to be Surtain, Foster, and Goodrich. Leaving out Chase.
I realize Chase is elite and could be very special, but the need for Goodrich and Foster is higher. Even without Chase, we got 3 VERY good WRs in Marshall, Jones, and Jenkins. Plus Tavens could end up at receiver.
Goodrich looks special. And the staff certainly thinks so. We really need corners, even if just by a numbers aspect.
Foster has his moments too. And even if ends up being a career backup (not saying he will be), we still need numbers at QB.
That's why I'd prefer Surtain, Goodrich, and Foster. But Id be very happy with any combination of Surtain plus 2.
Even more happy with ALL FOUR!

This is definitely an understandable opinion and I can't say you're wrong. It's just hard to come to grips with passing on an elite in state player in favor of an out of state guy who might never play a snap, even if he's at a position of greater need.

One thing is certain, the kid ain’t going to Bama to ride the pine for 3 years!!

I get that too. That's why I hope they can get all 4!

By the looks of this Elite11 highlight video he has some work to do in the accuracy department. and in his 247 sports profile he only has one year of stats. Did he only play QB his senior year?

If he does come here, he will in all likely hood redshirt.

The number is the number. There's no hedging or add ons or anything similar that can be done to manipulate the number of 25 that can can be taken. You'll take 25 recruits every year and not more to fill your incoming class. If you have spots available to fill because of transfers or you didn't get 25 the previous class, then the only way to fill those spots will be through JUCO kids or transfers. That's it.
Look y'all, this is not like previous years where if we signed 23 one year we could add 2 to the next class. This is the new system and it's a hard 25. There's no playing around with numbers like before. Like it or not, this is the new recruiting system in place along with the Early Signing Day.

Need wise I get it but u just don’t turn down a chase if he wants on board. U make it work. We have Vincent Kirklan Greedy Fulton and kids like ed Paris and Todd Harris along with Jacoby Stevens who can play nickel. Add Joseph and Surtain and we will be ok if we get Foster and chase over Goodrich. I love Goodrich and he is no doubt an elite prospect but u can’t tuen down a qb imo. And chase is a game changer
