I really hate all of this hate because his parents really are wonderful people. Hopefully they don't read this page.

Yep, that is why I said it. Fine with me just letting the OP know you have a connection.

He's right though, these threads should be spam they're pointless. Also shitting on a kid just because he doesn't want to go to LSU. Are we going to shite on the kids who do go to LSU and spurn other schools? No, of course not.
Bunch of sour apples on this board when it comes to someone who doesn't go to LSU.
"He sucks"
"Didn't need him anyway"
"Scared of sitting behind Howard!"
"Scared of the SEC"
Stupid.

I am really surprised that this thread hasn't been whacked yet.

One of several who bend over backwards to compliment our competitors while downplaying anything pro LSU and call it “being objective”
Wait, you must have been looking in the mirror while you typed - amirite?

2 post 9 days apart is not spamming the board on a subject especially after getting a recruit to commit to the same position many were crying about losing out on with another player...

Not gonna put down Tackett myself
I really wanted him to be in this class
That being said, I really like the addition of Atkins and he has great potential to shoot up the boards between now and his senior year

Everyone is salty because we need LBs and we have a stud in state that's making a poor decision to leave the state. If he gets hurt up north, he is stuck coaching high school football and struggling to make a living for the rest of his life. If he goes to LSU, he will be a local her and hooked up with a great job just like many other local legends.

Poor decision because he has other big time schools that want him when LSU didn’t? As someone else said, should we shite on players from other states who choose LSU?

You guys need to get this mentality out of your head. For people who love Louisiana it can be a good thing. You're right, they'll take care of their own. You can't blame kids for wanting to leave Louisiana though. It's ranked dead last in economy right now with a million other problems. You can't blame them for looking at opportunities elsewhere.
Maybe just maybe a lot of these blue chips are not staying at LSU due to outside factors like I mentioned above. At some point when you have a shite ton of problems within the state, it's going to start leaking in areas like sports because it's impacting their quality of life.

What the hell does that have to do with a kid picking a school? So you actually believe that these kids study and look at the local economy before they pick a school?
Every schools local area has multiple issues, except maybe your Ivy League schools and even those have major issues. You don’t see a flood of commits to these schools do you? Nope, because that doesn’t factor into their decision whatsoever.
I hate to break it to you but NIL isn’t simply dependent on the local area for success. Jersey’s, hats, shoes, socks, gloves and the like products can be sold nation wide and even world wide. Recognition is what these players need to sell products and therefor create a successful NIL brand for themselves. LSU is one of the premier brands in the country who will give these players all the recognition you could possibly want. I’d venture to say that many of these kids would do even better at their homeschool than they ever would a school like USC.
They’re not from LA. They aren’t known prior to going to college so for them to create a successful NIL brand they would have to perform at a very high level. At LSU, they’re known already, they have a huge head start in that department. Here all they need to do is sell the fans. At home they can do that in multiple ways and the fans will support it. Once they start playing and making plays, they’d already have a following and their products would explode. They couldn’t do that so easily from an OOS school because it just wouldn’t generate as much attention. No one knows them until they prove themselves. At LSU they already have the attention of the fans.
Sure the golden boy QB from LA will make tons of money from NIL because he’s from that area and they would support him and yes he would probably generate tons of support, more than he would at LSU or Alabama BUT a LB from Many Louisiana won’t generate that type of support unless he’s the next USC All American LB who changes the game with pick 6’s and a sack every other down. He wouldn’t need to be that to get the support from his home state school but he would get just as much maybe slightly less support if he was an AA LB at LSU as well.
So I’m not seeing the huge disparity that some like to mention when it comes to economics for these players. It’s also cheaper here for everything! You can’t live in LA making 100k a year. You’d be broke back Louisiana bitch. You make 100k in Louisiana and you can sit by your pool sipping on one of those little drinks with an umbrella and olive. You don’t have to stay in Louisiana after football and you’d still get the support from Louisiana folks. Where else can you do that? Certainly not USC unless, like I said, your the next golden boy.

Glad you enjoyed it. What good is any of this if you can't make somebody laugh now and then?

Yes, it impacts decisions. when you grow up in poverty stricken areas or have to deal with constant skull frickery situations like Ida/Katrina it plays into decisions. There's less opportunity at LSU than the places some of these schools are providing. Maybe they want to get away from a gang situation, maybe they want fresh air, maybe they're tired of the climate or the destitute situation Louisiana is running into now. How about the skewed racism in the state now alongside the history? Areas are being consumed by poverty and it's growing. The state regresses it doesn't move forward. Maybe they value an education which Louisiana definitely doesn't provide. Money opportunities are also more attractive outside Louisiana right now for these reasons so even if LSU is good at opening NIL pockets there isn't much opportunity to expand their brand within the state in a small market.
It could be many of these factors contributing to leaving. Just because it makes sense to you doesn't mean it makes sense to them. You don't live their life and know the shite they have to deal with on a daily basis so stop pretending you do and trying to paint kids enemies just because they seek what they think is a better opportunity in their life. You're also living with P&G glasses if you think some of these universities do not treat these kids like family past football. That's laughable to even think that LSU/Louisiana are the only ones to do it.
