Come on man, that's ridiculous. His natural talent is the biggest factor. If he works hard he should be able get to the next level regardless.

I don't think anyone is saying he can't get to the NFL from Florida.

But, it's a miserable experience playing for a lame duck coach, on a team that is not very good, while getting compared to FSU constantly. And, that's just year 1.

Then he needs to meet an entirely new coaching staff in year 2...none of whom he will be familiar with.

Florida is a TERRIBLE decision.

Ehh this isn't entirely true. I know he's not a pro scout, but manning really urged the colts to draft addai cus he'd be NFL ready playing in the sec. So yes they do care at times.

I saw a tweet earlier today from a Florida insider and it said that Gerald Willis wasn't an EE. I can't remember who said it though

what you're saying is more along the lines of individual performance against strong competition, not wins and losses.

I'd cite Jordan Mathews as the best most recent example.

While we agree that all the top players want to get to the NFL you have to think that having a blast in college for three to four years is important. My years at LSU were awesome and I wouldn't trade them for anything. The food, all my friends, Tiger Stadium, a degree that has served me well. I've been to Gainesville, you can have it.

You guys keep being in denial. LSU fans, and some on this board in particular, are among the worst.

Call me when LSU fans start sending death threats to players, destroying public property, and shooting one another after losses.

This is very true! If you go back and look at the threads he started, they all have to do with G or Speedy. Go ahead. Take a look yourself at his history.

My understanding is that GW did not have a commitable offer from Bama. Is that true, and if so, why? If you listen to the interviews with that in mind, you wonder if he's been hoping for Bama the whole time. Sorry in advance if I'm misinformed.

Update... Willis for sure to Florida... April threatens to snitch on Wilson if he goes to karr... The fight b/w April and the step mom had an impact with his decision... Step mom was the only one supporting the Florida pick and Gerald wanted her on stage, but April being April. At work now, will post more later...

He did have an offer from Bama. Just didn't see him himself playing in a 3-4.

He wants to be a 4-3 rushing DE. So everybody calling him a DT on here didn't help much.

These two things don't add up. So she's not supportive of Gerald going to Florida but will snitch on Wilson if he visits her golden boy that she wants closer to home?
