Coach, I hope Quad can be patient a bit longer. 6 QB offers in the entire country really isn't that much.

But we have come to visit him, right? Not at all defending this "slow-play" job that we seem to be doing, but just seeing what we have done.

Has a short angry guy come to see him yet?

It's February. Way too early to compare to that.

And Ensminger visited him, not just the area recruiter. That tells me that he's a legit possibility for an offer.

I do agree with CoachJ though. For them not to offer him when they just offered a few other guys, is weird. But I think last year they offered 16 QB's. Perhaps that was a result of the change in staff though, not sure.

They're offering guys from far across the country. For example, Michael Johnson Jr isn't coming here. He'll stay in Oregon or play for Taggart. Another QB is committed to Wisconsin. Another is Bear Bryant's kin. Besides Gunnell, these are longshot offers.

To be fair, I believe Quad has 2 offers so far? None from quality schools like Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Clemson, etc etc. So if offers start pouring in from quality programs like that, there's time for LSU.

We'll see. LSU is not throwing around offers left and right. Look at how few instate guys have offers right now. Staff seems to be more selective this year with the new 25 scholarship rule.

Yeah, he's now downplayed two good prospects in this class that LSU has interest in.

If that's the case, then he was never really going to come to LSU once he started gaining interest and whine and dined by other schools anyway. He doesn't have any legit offers yet. If LSU is his dream school, then he will listen whenever the offer comes. You are making it sound like if LSU doesn't offer first, then he is not coming to LSU.

The narrative has switched from:
"LSU is keeping in touch weekly. Hopefully good things to come."

To:
"LSU is ONLY keeping in touch weekly. If they don't hop on him soon things he will be gone."

Hopefully the kid isn't as fragile as you seem to be right now.

Ummm. Well this thread escalated quickly lol.

Quad has 3 offers: UAB, Eastern Kentucky, and Troy. I won’t make a Troy Joke. Promise..

He also has a few offers from I guess what you all would call “Quality” schools that frankly finished higher than LSU in the Top 25 this last season. These offers will be announced after attending those junior days. UAB did this too. They offered several days prior but wanted us to be quiet about it so they could do it at Junior Day.

As far as Quad being Fragile, I do take exception to that comment, bc he’s without doubt the most heady young athlete I’ve ever met, and frankly after what he’s been through a school offering him or not isn’t going to upset him.

To that point, he’s also not the type that is going to play games or do mentally fragile things like commit, de-commit, commit, de-commit etc.

If you sense some frustration maybe that is coming from me. This is largely bc of what we have been told through this process, and then seeing things that are contradictory happening over the last week or so.

All that said we do have a long way to go before NSD 2019, and we are certainly being patient in the process. I have been sending updates in real time as they happen and my tone reflect those real time events.

It may make more sense to simply not post updates until LSU makes a move or Quad commits elsewhere.

What is wrong with LSU taking their time? The ink is barely dry for the 2018 class. I will never understand the bs about not recieving an offer fast enough

If my dream was to work for google, and they come calling, I don’t care how long it took.

If LSU is his dream school, why wouldn’t he just wait for the inevitable offer?

LSU can take as much time as they want. Re-Read my post to see where the frustration is.

All of the QBs they offered are highly rated. Last year, they offered too many too early and are taking a different approach this year. His time will come. You need to get Shea or somebody at 247 to get him a profile
