correct me if I am wrong, but hitting the pylon is a touchback right? would have been better if he had just punted it 42 yards instead of 61

technically, yes.

but the kid was about 2 inches away from drilling a perfect 60 yard punt. he made it look pretty easy, as well. and he's in high school.

If you find a fault with this you're a fricking maroon. This kid has punts of 65, 55 and a 42 downed inside the five. On top of the pylon kick. This kid is legit.

Thanks for the update. That is good news. Hope we will not have to use him much in 2010!

Just what we need, another player with a lack of respect for discipline

Good, but hopefully he won't see the field very often.

actually if you heard his interview, he said he has been kicking since he was 5 years old.

So... him kicking 61 yards, is that first bounce, or after? Because if he kicks a 30 yard punt and it hop-skips-and-jumps 31 more yards, then he's just lucky.

The kid had a short first one of like 38 yards, then hit ones about 47, 57, and 60 yards. The kid is legit.

We've now officially hit a new low for buzz-killing on the Rant. This ain't an attack at you personally, it just represents the overall knee-jerk reaction to find fault in everything.

I mean, this dude is actually watching the freaking game and letting us know how our newest P/K recruit is doing. You're not, and your only reaction is to post what you did? He's still in h. school, as well. Don't know if you've coached or not, but if your punter, at that level, hit the pylon in a playoff game, you'd give your left nut to get him on your team (and I didn't even see it).

Wasn't his dad a pro punter too?

I thought he lived in Australia and only began playing American football this year. Know his dad kicked in the NFL (w/the Lions?).
