If you guys dont think that Saban already has this thing worked out you're kidding yourself. Collins was a done deal for several years prior, unfortunately I say Fournette is a rerun of that script.

Landon lived inside of his girlfriend's arse. Like he literally ate dinner at the Cinnamon Ring Cafe every day. Fournette has been trying to get away from St. Aug and enroll at Salmen

I wouldn't be surprised if Saban tells Faulkins they dont want him anymore come NSD.

Any LA recruit he gets is going to get a rise out of some,no matter the significance.

We may have to work a little harder to get in state guys, but LSU is also working harder and having more success recruiting OOS guys than anytime I can remember. So if anything, I'd say its been positive. People freak out over losing in state kids, like Collins, but if we replace them with comparable kids like Corey Thompson, its no big deal.

we have no clue how good either will be on the college level but no one wants to recognize that Thompson even MIGHT be as good since he's not a 5 star...

I've followed recruiting for awhile now - the first class I really followed the whole way through was the Dwayne Bowe, Craig Davis, etc class.

It has taken awhile to get to this point, but I truly DGAF about stars anymore. I've seen too many 3 and 4 star guys completely outclass the 5 star guys once they get to campus. In my book, LC is a bleeding vag until he proves otherwise, and Corey Thompson could be the next Eric Reid. We won't really know for a couple years.

I thought you'd like this thread since its anti-LSU somewhat. You thrive on players that LSU wont get, so .....

If everyone stays healthy, I would suspect so. The 2-deep is pretty set with Reid, Loston, Martin, and Eugene.

Op is wrong. Fournette is no done deal.

Op is 100% right about sabans intentions though.

There isn't a name on that list that keeps me up at night as far as not coming to LSU. You can go back 1 more year to 2008 and Robby Green, a DB that LSU didn't offer, went to Alabama, and stayed what a grand total of like 1 or 2 years before he got BOOTED off the football team. Falkins has 0% chance of being a thorn in LSU's side and quite frankly I predict a 0% of signing with Alabama. He will be one of those that little Nicky tells "why don't you look around, son."
