CBS SPORTS

quote:

The felony charge is for possession of 4-200 grams of a controlled substance, which is a second-degree felony. That felony carries a charge of 2-20 years in prison and possible fine up to $10,000. The Class B misdemeanor is for possession of less than two grams of marijuana, which carries a sentence of up to 180 days in county jail and/or a fine of up to $2,000.

Bullet. Dodged.

Why would an elite college football player be moving this amount of weight? Rumors we true I guess.

A&M paid a lot to pull that kid from MS. Disappointing for their bag man

It doesn't state how much "weight" he was carrying. Only that it was between 2 grams and 200 grams. 2 years of prison for being caught with 2 grams of pot is criminal in itself tbh

It's fricking weed! He could have had way less than an ounce and spend two years in prison?? How does this make sense

It says possession not with intent to distribute.

It says two different possession charges. One for controlled substance over 4 grams, the other for marijuana.

He thought that was an opportunity. Afterall, wasn't it the TAMU police that caught him?

Not necessarily. Could be any controlled substance, prescription pills like Oxy as an example. They typically go by the weight of the pills. 4 Oxy pills would likely put you over the 4 gram limit.

It certainly turned out better LSU didn't land either Jackson or Sophser, both highly rated out of high school, but both have been busts so far in college.

Jackson hasn't really been a bust.

He got plenty of good snaps as a true freshmen and was going to play a ton this year.

Sophser on the other hand is a lazy, soft, baby back bitch.

Just wish we could've signed rodney

Liucci at TexAgs is already saying he might be suspended a game or 2. We punish guys worse for a failed weed test than A&M does for felony possession.

Our weed policy is a complete joke and the fact that Woodward hasn't changed this to be on par with the rest of the league is beyond me.
