We need someone like this to come and develop. Need someone who doesnt mind sitting and taking the time to truly understand the game. What I would do is, take a guaranteed starter, add a JUCO QB, then someone like this…
Pathetic how bad our QB room is.

Could get him on the cheap to sit for a backup year while we have possibly Chambliss or Byrum Brown as the starter.

Very few kids want to be on a team “to develop” these days. They’ll just jump ship to another team that will give them immediate playing time

When did LSU recruit him? He had no offers from LSU, as best I can tell.

They went after him hard down the stretch after Underwood decommitted and left us with little to no time to add someone else.
Similar to what we did this year when Bentley chose OU.
Former staff was outstanding at putting all their eggs in one basket and striking out

Would be a good get for a backup to develop and potentially take over as the guy the following year.
Did he get any playing time this year?

I totally agree with you about players wanting to go where they can get immediate playing time. The fact, however, is that there are more players chasing that playing time role than there are quality opportunities for them, with quality being the critical consideration. Someone has to decide if waiting a year at a real opportunistic location is more important than getting on the field "anywhere". Its up to our coaches to help the candidate figure that out.

Same year as Underwood. The cr^p thing is that he likely went to UNC b/c Underwood was locked.
