Remember when they had that top 5 class (Garrett, Noil, etc) in 2014, and added guys like Daylon Mack, Kyler Murray, Christian Kirk in 2015? Did they even have a good defense or vaunted offense with those guys? No.

They don’t have the culture or coaching to win at a high level. They didn’t then and certainly don’t now. It doesn’t matter how much money you throw at a turd, it’s still gonna stink. Simple as that. 1 class doesn’t define a program.

As long as they still have that staff coaching the talent, we are good.

I think you are underestimating Jimbo as a head coach with Elko as DC and their culture. This Aggie team with those dudes could be dangerous for the west.

We need CBK, Frank Wilson, and the gang to get us some dudes and flip some of their dudes to us.

Calling it a great class isn’t freaking out. They are absolutely crushing it.

Not even a top 10 class in 2015. It’s not about freakin out as much as just seeing what’s happening in this NIL era and wondering how LSU will try to get on top of it.

This. Them expected to jump to the #1 class after another subpar yr, in the first yr of nil recruiting, is worrisome. Add in they may close 16 of the top 85 kids in the nation, I'd say that's something to worry about.

Atm is the 2nd biggest opponent on the schedule lately, and we fight them for 7-10 kids a year at minimum. Bama and them are the 2 teams we should concern ourselves with.

I'm not concerned for a few reasons, most important of which is the fact that Jumbo is still coaching them. He has a penchant for losing to unranked teams as a HC, the only exception being the Jameis years.

Not only a bunch of top 100 kids, it is a bunch off top 100 lineman.. if they stack a few classes like this together I could coach them to a championship.

If they close another class like this and stack a whole roster then it doesn't matter who the coach is. Talent will win despite coaching.

not a problem until they get the QB right which they still haven't. jameis won jimbo his sole title...he needs an overall #1 pick to win and he aint got it

Recruiting is everything. And they are dominant in NIL so far.

Majority of those kids are going to feel entitled and will transfer as soon as things not going their way. Trust me! Kids are so self centered and selfish theses days. Those higher rank kids come from a place where everyone worship the ground they walk on. I see at least 5-8 transferring within a year. To many of them are spoiled and have an ego problem.

FIFY

Won the SEC in 2001. Only two seasons removed from a complete disintegration by the end of Dinardo's reign.

As long as the culture is being addressed in 2022 we should be optimistic. 8-4 would be fine if the Oline and QB positions are heading in the right direction
