I was messing around with 247 class calculator. Currently we are at 5 in the combined high school and transfer portal rankings. If we sign Seaton and Prince will it will catapult LSU to the number 1 class.

For the portal, yes. I think OP is saying we wil be the #1 overall class, combining HS and tPortal.

I wonder how these rankings are done? It seems with the transfer portal in place now that the high school rankings would carry a much lower weight because:
1. most of the high school recruits will not make an impact next year
2. a large number of high school recruits will transfer before they ever play meaningful snaps at LSU.
The portal kids have played college ball at some level and many will contribute or even start next year. They have a much higher impact.

What if you lose "most of your team" and replace them all with 4/5* talent?
