How does Ricks compare to Stingley. Obviously Stingley is the truth, how close is Ricks?

Ricks is not Stingley, but that’s not even close to an insult. Ricks is a guy that is going to get beat some, but if you keep trying him (You like to think) he’s going to jump a route because he plays super aggressive. He is much more physical than stingley is. He will get called for PI a good bit, but he’ll also jam guys out of plays.

He will have a similar progression to Pat Surtain at Bama. So by year 2 he will be mostly lockdown. But his first year will see many ups a downs. Future 1st round.

We wont see a CB as good as Stingley for a long time imo, Ricks is very good tho he has a bigger frame than Sting and has good instincts for interceptions, Ricks had 8 or 9 ints this season, he is a great athlete not Derek Stingley great but a day 1 starter in the SEC.The biggest difference between them is speed Stingley ran a 4.3 40yd in HS Ricks ran a 4.6.

I have a feeling he will learn to be a bit more cautious early on his freshman year. However it is in his DNA to be a pick machine.

Downvote me all you want, but Ricks isn’t going to walk onto campus and just take over for Fulton.

I don’t know if you guys noticed but LSU has a solid CB that I think compares to Tre White in Cordale Flott.

Love the shiny new toys all you want right now, but polished toys are just as good.

I don't think many people expect him to immediately take over

It all kind of depends if Kary declares or stays

Flott will 100% take over for Fulton though, Flott has been great this year.

We really have an eye for great DBs.

Ricks is a a lot longer (arms and height) and runs a 4.56 compared to stingleys 4.30

Ricks is that guy you put on Auburn’s Seth Williams or Texas’ Brennan Eagles

stingley may honestly turn out to be the best cover corner ever, I'm sure Ricks will be great though.

He means take over for him as a starter opposite Stingley, not beat him out. We all know Fulton is gone.

Ricks won’t make as big of an impact as a freshman as stingley, but he will be top notch by the time he’s a sophomore.

Basically no one will ever make that kind of an impact as a true freshman. Stingley is that good.

Base corners Stingley and Flott

Nickel, slide Flott inside to allow his quick twitch athleticism to stand out. Ricks to go outside.

Also, Jay Ward and Raydar Jones.

Raydar is the forgotten man because he’s adjusting to life as a corner. But this was a recruit that is long limbed (6’2, 170) athlete that ran a 4.41 forty with a 4.00 short shuttle and a 41 inch vertical leap. Led his Class 6A high school to a state championship as a quarterback (winner).

Raydar has all the physical attributes you want.

Prom never even hinted that Fulton was coming back. That’s why he suggested Flott was a good candidate to take over for Fulton... due to the fact that he will no longer be at LSU... he will be in the NFL.

What if we add Ringo as some recruiting news is saying that there is some movement there? That would be insane.

I think it's similar to compare Ricks and Sting to Richard Sherman and Patrick Peterson respectively
