We have 86 on scholarship going into the summer which is 1 above the limit, so they will either process someone or move them to PWO status before August.

85 won’t be a limit if the profit sharing thing goes through. It’ll be 105 players and you can scholarship all if you want, and they don’t have to be 100% any more.

The profit sharing isn't going to be enforced. It doesn't have a collective bargaining agreement. The NCAA has zero way to enforce this legally so every university can tell them to kick rocks when they spend over the cap limits.
Every university is going to ignore it - especially the ones with money. They have no legal way to enforce this and if they want to spend way above the cap they will and can. NCAA should be dissolved at this point. They're meaningless now.

So we’re back to 120 man rosters. Looks like LSU saw that writing on the wall.
Sucks, because 1/2 of my son’s ‘NIL’ deal was going to get made up from the profit sharing stash. Wasn’t enough to matter anyway. Maybe they’ll let him work a big camp this summer, that NIL would double his money and get him back to what they promised.

He signed an NIL deal for 1 year…but in those negotiations they doubled it with 1/2 coming from the profit sharing pot. They need ALL the players to sign deals so they can’t go back and sue.
They are basically paying him nothing. There’re plenty of benefits and he’s super happy.
