I use love following LSU football recruiting, but do to the athletes having access to social media and other outlets, messing with all the football fans heads, committing to a team then switching on signing day and so forth....I just wait till February 1st now....I sleep better!

The best thing I learned was going on the paid sites was a waste of money...

Noone will argue to change your mind...just a matter of taking good with bad...if you cant its better for you not to follow but ALOT of the fun as always is in the chase....if the - outweigh the + for you then peace out

you're so full of shite. we all know you'll check the site 10,000 more times before signing day.

I know because I say the same shite to myself every year

From 2012-2016, following recruiting was a daily, year-round thing for me. I realized what a waste of time it was to follow it closely March-December. I feel like I'm catching up on a whole year in this last month, almost like binging on a TV series.

Man... it's not about YOU and your enjoyment. These guy's are deciding where they will go to school for 4 years.

I would do what was best for me, wouldn't you? If I was committed to Troy and got an offer from Stanford....gone

Messing with people's heads. Lol

I agree with that. I probably did not check anything for months after Les was fired. I just assumed the class was going to be ruined.

It's become too unpredictable for there to be any reason to pencil guys in early

You know you can follow recruiting without being so invested It mentally breaks you down.

Sorry you let kids mess with your head.

You sound like a real solid, stand-up guy. I especially like the kids that open up their recruiting again because they weren't getting enough attention. What a joke. A kid that does that will never pan out. Also, give me a kid that if undecided, doesn't commit...and if he commits, go all in for that team and help with recruiting. But sadly, the parents of many of these kids lack education and character, so it is what it is.

U mean like when guice re-opened his commitment to get invited to an all star game and try to get a fifth star?
I think he's pretty good

So 1 out of 100 makes his point less valid?
Hey, congrats on naming that one guy.

well when you talk in absolutes, you open yourself up to be proven wrong

especially when the best player on your team did exactly what you just said would never happen

I disagree. If you truly are a fan of recruiting it is worth it to follow s/s.

Personally, I just don't follow twitter and instagram and all that. I'll still watch film and read articles. At the end of the day, you're watching recruiting for entertainment value. And this entertainment is a soap opera. Just don't get too upset and it's a fun form of entertainment.

most on this board and t-rant don't understand absolutes. Nor do they understand that recruiting is not an exact science.

I used to follow it hardcore back in the days when you had to wait for the weekly print publications or one of the experts on a radio call in show... the early days of the internet weren't too bad, when the pay sites actually provided information you didn't know...

I stopped following it religiously probably ~ 10 years ago or so... The whole media circus that got created around the process, took the enjoyment out of it for me.. I still follow it casually, but more so just pay attention when someone commits or maybe the last month before signing day...
