The rumors are that he scored a 13 on his ACT and another is that he is qualified.
Isn't 15 the minimum score to qualify? If he scored 13 and 15 is the number, hard to believe he could improve that much.

Why even give this kid attention?

I'm pretty sure 17 is still the number. I've tutored a few high profile guys that had to take it twice due to too much improvement, 5 points or more, so it's definitely possible. Some kids do much better academically when they get away from their coaches and focus on the ACT

There's not a specific number you need to qualify. It's a slide scale number generated by combining your SAT/ACT and core GPA.

Some people don't take standardized test well. Didn't Ole Miss and ULL have a program recently that helped struggling athletes improve their ACT scores?

It's spelled what... God I hate that

He was the MVP of the a UnderArmour all star game. His talent is undeniable. If he can get control of his off field problems, he could be a game changer.

on the internet "wut" conveys a completely different meaning than "what".

Let's keep it real guys. Not every player we accepted had a straight A character. Didn't Devin White have legal issues in HS? I heard from a reliable source that Guice skipped half his classes in HS. Ingram? Honeybadger? Drake Davis?
Evans has no history of legal issues, that I am aware of. He is immature and selfish. I get that doesn't translate into a "team player" or fit into the culture Coach O is trying to create with "one team, one heartbeat".
We can't forget he is a kid. A kid that has been told how great he is for I don't know how long. Grown men salivating over him and praising him. I am not the same man I was when I was 17. Evans will mature eventually. It might be when he is 60 or it might be when he gets to College, hard to say.
We are not giving up a first round draft pick. It is one scholly, and very worth the risk. Even if he bombs out, we are good at RB. Very little risk, high reward.

He looked nice vs OU but that’s what you expect from a SEC rb vs that kind of defense

I have a feeling the posters who go on about not wanting Evans are only saying that because they dont feel he will choose LSU. Kind of like when you want to date a chick, but you know she is out of your league, so you trash her with all your friends to save face.

You had better put Curry @ #1 on that list. He's going to get 1st shot this Spring

He has a LSU lanyard in his pocked in that pic with the truck.

Good point...maybe 15 is the lowest if somehow GPA can help you out but I believe you are correct. 17 used to be standard and still is if you can't gain some ground via GPA. Regardless, 13 is quite a bit away from 15.
