Today I watched Rosepine win the 2A state championship against Doyle. What a game! Both pitchers threw gems. I’ve seen Ethan behind the dish twice this year and he is an incredible Catcher but he threw a complete game with 12Ks today. I was very impressed with his speed, location, and off speed. I hope this guy makes it to campus. Congratulations Rosepine Eagles. Might want to look at that kid from Doyle too he had some nasty off speed.

He went 0-3 I believe. Struck out twice looking but like I said the pitcher from Doyle was throwing some filthy stuff. The other 2 times I had seen him play he smashed. I don’t know how many dingers he hit this year but I believe it’s quiet a few.

Agreed. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear his name called in the 1st round next year.

Wow! Really what about the kid’s game do you think is weak?

I didn’t say any part of his game is weak.

O ok. I was just saying the kid is very impressive and you don’t see a talent like him very often especially as a Junior in high school.

The bigger threat is him going somewhere to play football.

Well I seen him play football as well and he doesn’t standout near as much on a football field. Not saying he isn’t talented on the football field just not near as polished

Biggest concern I've heard is that he is possibly looking at schools that would allow him to have a chance to play both.

You might not, but there are dudes who throw 95 and don’t go in the first round. Since he plays 2A ball he would have to have one hell of a summer to get top 3 round consideration

Wait, so this kid throws 95?

I don’t know what he throws. My point is that these guys watched him in person and think he’s an all world talent because he’s an sec recruit playing 2A ball.

He was consistently around 92 through out the championship game. His last pitch (114) was 94 to strike out the kid. He only threw about 20ish innings included the final game this season. His curveball was about 78ish in the championship game.

I've been told he prefer to catch than be on the bump.

If you're talking about Yuratich, he's signed with Southeastern.

Pros don’t go 0-3 in a 2A state championship game

Considering the kid has 8 HR’s and a grand slam just this season.. it happens. Plus out of the 0-3, one of those was an intentional walk. Say what you will.

No it wasn’t.
