Saban is slime ball car salesman who lies to everyone. He is a piece of shite who fits right into the Bear Bryant mode of cheating your way to getting recruits.

Why would St. Aug (or any other properly motivated school) want to hire Decarlos Holmes?
His bad judgement and ethical lapses have left behind damage everywhere he has been. When he left La. for Texas a year or two ago, there were criminal charges arising out of his activities at Woodlawn H.S.
Now he's back from Texas and in questionable environment again...

The staff were brought in because their Résumé speaks for themselves.... Crutch can win state titles & kids Holmes has coached are in the SEC...

To the RBs comes dimes a dozen crowd: Yeah, there are plenty of 6'2 230lb backs around that are gifted... I'm not talking about just size, I mean complete package... Frank seen it and now the nation has witnessed... He is just as important as grabbing Hootie, Boutte, RSJ, Tre'White, Diarse, Willis, etc... Because these kids are special and not dime a dozens...

Yes, Holmes' resume DOES speak for itself.
And it asks why any ethical, properly motivated program would hire him.
Based upon your post, I assume the fact that some of Holmes' former players are "in the SEC" is more important than the example he has set by his serial episodes of unethical conduct (setting aside the disposition of criminal charges).
There are schools who adopt this sort of approach to athletics. Didn't know St. Aug was one, but your post "speaks for itself..."

The dime a dozen comments are a bit much, he's a talent that does not come around that often. Its the position he plays. RB is just not as important as it used to be. As someone else mentioned, the gap between the #1 RB and #50 is not as big as the gap btwn the top LT and #50. He maybe be better than any other RB LSU or Bama can get, but on the field it doesn't make as much a difference like in the days of Herschel Walker. Richardson was better, by a good bit, than any RB LSU had. But LSU still had a great running game and TR was not the difference btwn LSU and Bama last year. Peterson was great, didn't help them over USC. I'd say Fournette is in the class with those guys at least. I'd LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to have him at LSU and would HATE it if he goes to Bama, but If I can only have 3 of LF, Robinson, Willis and Hootie. I'd take the later 3. No knock on LF, just his postion, especially with Brossette right behind him.

One of many opportunities at St Aug, including hiring our first female pres...

Holmes/Crutch will bring what was needed to our football program... Nothing more or less...

Crutch won state titles at a 1A school at which the entirety of football talent in plaquemines parish had been consolidated post-Katrina, and played in-district with the likes of Country Day. They were already beginning to slip when Crutch was fired for unethical behavior. His teams play with no discipline and will get owned by Jesuit and Rummel.

Okay... And the Knights will have no talent and get owned like YOU say

I'll grant your that LF is a supremely talented player, but the main reason he has been brought up so much is that on the surface it appears that St. Aug has completely sold LSU out. Which is kind of a joke considering the legacy of Chad Jones and Tyrann Mathieu and the platform LSU provided those players to succeed.

Everyone would love to have him, but it doesn't appear that his recruitment is being directed this way...and unfortunately the bigger topic is what is going on at your school and how that has had a large impact on his recruitment.

No one said ya'll have no talent.

What has your powerhouse program done recently that Rummel and Jesuit have not?

You dumb.
1) he made it to the dome in 99 with Chico Mackey.
2)He won it in 02 with KP, Josh Mackey, and Terrence Jones.
3) Katrina happened in 05 and he lost his best players to Bastrop including Randall Mackey.
4) He then proceeded to win two more. Crutch can coach.

He didn't say no talent, he said no discipline. And when they're going against similarly talented teams like Rummel, Jesuit, or Shaw, the lack of discipline could make the difference.

I'm not saying one way or the other how Aug will perform or which team will win games, just clarifying his statement.

But if I were an alum, I would be very concerned about a coach like Holmes representing my school, and I would steer away from justifying his presence with his coaching performance. The connection of him getting players to college is tenuous at best. He's only been a head coach at Woodlawn, and was fired from there. Everywhere else he's been that has had players move on to college, he's been an assistant, and his only verifiable impact in that regard is that he was willing to drive players to any school other than LSU.
