Those players were developed by Crutch. He picked them up, drove them home. He looked out for those kids. POS or not
played against crutch for 4 years, and while i didn't really care for him as a person, he was a hell of a coach.. and it's true, he did care for his players and look out for them.. the people of port sulphur (for the most part) idolize this man..

How do you think his strategy of always going for two and kicking onside is going to work out in 5A?
if he has the personel, this won't be a factor.. the only reason they never kicked was because PS/SP never had any kickers on their teams

Man, I cannot wait for the season so we could get owned by these powerhouse programs
Diarse and Hootie will be waiting.

Crutch/Holmes/Fournette AKA the Trio will just concede that one

But seriously, the Knights will be battle tested well before the post-season starts...

Trent is a proven top tier RB ...HS players though highly touted are NOT YET PROVEN.
That should be the rule of thumb for all HS recruits, but I get what you're saying about the comparisons though... Fournette is a gifted stud that will shine anywhere... But I know some are blowing their fuses regarding his future... LSU was first to show the love and I'm sure he is looking to give back...

The same 13/14 kids Crutch took to Bama, he took them to LSU as well... Frank got this!

Don't have a link and not sure if germans but ESPN Alabama affiliate had another hack piece on the state of Louisiana and discussing Gerald Willis. These writers are a joke.

I know NOLA is notorious but it's not like moving to a college town in Alabama is a guarantee of getting a kid away from this. ESPN (same messenger)

Two players from last season's Auburn football team were shot to death late Saturday night at an apartment complex near the school's campus in Alabama while an offensive lineman who remains on the team was hospitalized with gunshot wounds.

It's just really horrible journalism from a site that is acting like nothing short but a hit piece on LA for the benefit of Alabama. Sad.

Anybody here Mascona and Derrick Ponasky (sp) talking about this today?
Posted on 6/27/12 at 9:36 pm to HeadCoach
I'm in New Orleans, so no. Can you recap? I checked the website but they don't have that podcasted.

No. Did you?
If so, what was said?

I texted my drown a baby elephant comment and think it was read but I was flipping stations and listening to John Clayton bash the Saints on WWL. I just caught the end of it. DP said it's early in the process, don't worry, Frank is the man (true) yada yada yada...

Yeah, he basically said that LSU people need to relax as this one has a long way to go. St. Aug DOES have a lot of pro-Bama people on their staff but LSU has Frank and a bunch of kids that he's already friends with. He looks up to TM7. Gonna be fun to watch one way or the other.

No. NO. It will NOT be fun to watch if he goes to Bama and blows up. It's not gonna be fun to watch if/when Lacey kills it next year. It's one thing when it's Ingram or Richardson. It will f'n suck if it's a LA kid
Posted on 6/28/12 at 12:56 pm to HeadCoach
relax dude. Lacy can't hold Ingram or TR's jock. He will likely get passed up on the depth chart by Yeldon.
