Good luck to him. I hope he finds a place and he can put in a full season and show he has the right stuff. Seemed like he turned things around last season before getting injured.

Nobody was even considering Emery as a scholarship, everybody thought he was just out of eligibility

I wasn't sure because I have never been clear on how the NCAA treats a suspension year and whether it can be counted as a red-shirt year,

Yes it can. You can be in prison for murder and get a redshirt year. It strictly a time element.

Every player that enters the portal is announced, regardless of whether they were coming back or not.
