Ehhh, Bama, Clemson, and Texas A&M all have low rated punters or kickers. Our average is low without the long snapper and kicker
No it wouldn't be low, it would be close to around 92.00 without the kicker and long snapper. Removing them from the commitment list takes LSU from 254 to 252.

Don't waste your time with that guy. He doesn't want to get it.

The exact average without the LS and K of our class right now is .9124 (not .92). That's taking every player's rating (Composite) then averaging it out.
.9124 is simply not going to get you Top 3, last year's Top 3 classes by points were UIGA, tOSU and Texas and the top 2 were >.94 average and Texas was .9216.
.9216 doesnt sound like much higher than .9124, but consider this, if we flipped Emery and added Sophser to this class right now (both 5 stars) to bring it to 21 commits, take out the kicker and LS and our average still only goes up to .9206.

I'm friends with his family, and believe me, he loves LSU and coach O. Be patient. He'll go to the camps, get on the group texts, and flip at least 2 of UGA's crown jewels to LSU before coming home.
Emery pulling the ol' rope-a-dope on Kirby eh? Classic.

Why do you guys take things so personally? I think we have a great class but the reason we won’t be top 3 isn’t because we have a kicker and long snapper.
The highest avg we’ve had in the recent past is .9135 in 2016 and that class was stacked.

I'm not sure you can just take the average since every player adds a different value. For instance like I stated above, messing around with the class calculator feature removing the kicker and long snapper brings the total points from 254.84 to 252.21. That would be 252.21 with 17 commits. The next closest team I compared was FSU which is right below LSU with 16 commits, 244.10 total and .9150 avg. If you add Tyler Davis(.9378 composite) to FSU's class to get to 17 commits they would then have a total of 251.53.

Would help if we beat UGA this year...

You guys think there is that much difference in an overall class based on 1 RB?
This is comical.
I would be concerned, but I watched Les Miles have LF7 AND Guice and not do anything with them.

Imagine what he would've done without them.

Exactly.
Looking back, there was even a few games we still couldn't win with LF7.
Utterly sad tbh.

Those were end of the year numbers, won’t those numbers move again before signing day?
Semantics......

It depends on how many players are signed in the class as well. In 2017 Stanford and Clemson have +92 averages but didn’t sign full classes.
Pretty much every #1 class is going to be the full 25 if not more, so looking at the average for the top 3-5 is a good indicator. 91.25 could get you into the top 5 if you sign a full class but excluding the kickers from the classes in the top 5 would make their averages improve as well.
LSU has 10 sub .90 players committed
Alabama has 4
Georgia has 1
The kicker and the snapper aren’t the reason this class won’t be top 3.

Georgia is following up arguably the greatest class of all time with another legendary class.
No doubt about it. They're stacking elite talent over there like we haven't really seen before, which is saying something considering Bama's classes the last 10 years.
The quality per player is just ridiculous.

Our coach is the inspiration for the fricking meat market. There’s no reason LSU can’t buy a Destrehan recruit of all places

If kardell goes to FSU. Oh well, he will never win with that coach and we will never play them.

Emery will flip to us. Book it!
