Gotcha. That’s fair.

I am willing to withhold judgment until December and February. These kids are all over the place before they sign.

Who said I made excuses then or will make them in February? I just said wait until then to give credit or assign blame.

It's a loss because he is a really good player from Louisiana. Any time a good player from this state leaves, it's a loss for LSU.

I'll say this last thing, then I'm shutting up for the day. When I said "done deal", I meant it literally. He ends up at UGA, and we got shafted hard. Go back through the old posts and you'll see exactly what I mean.

If O goes worse than 8-4, Emery won't be our only loss.
We'll finish worse in recruiting than last year and O will have to go. One of the O selling points was his recruiting.

I will respond to my previous post. This was my initial reaction and I still am pissed and will remain pissed about Emery. But I agree with some people here we shouldn’t put much into it. These recruits are all over the place our staff will still pursue him very hard. I can see him ending up here when he signs the bottom line. He just went to Athens (a great town) I will admit. He’s probably thinking this is awesome and pulled the trigger. We still have a great chance with him. If not then Noah Cain climb aboard. I will remain positive. Also brooks and Kardell are still committed as of now so Let’s stay positive.

He wanted to go out of state. He may have been blowing smoke LSU's way.

We have been in your shoes plenty before Kirby came home. Player gives home team a shot but ultimately goes out of state. Georgia used to get raided so bad.

I think people are probably frustrated that you're making it seem like these are just automatic things now.

Just because Emery is committed to UGA, it doesn't mean that Cain's not going to consider Texas, OU, etc. anymore. Emery may very well end up back in Baton Rouge. But it can seem like a very annoying spin, when "100% he commits to LSU" changes to "we still have a great chance with him" when that player commits to another school.

Not saying this specifically applies to you, but I get the feeling, that's' what your fan base is upset about at the moment (excluding O let 5*s go OOS).

Doesn’t make sense for him to do that. Uga is hot right now. They have a big event and he probably got caught up in the moment. Uga is a great place so I get it. However that’s a long way from home and as Signing day gets closer the reality of moving away from family & friends can loom large. He is a can’t miss prospect for O but Davis is gonna be a tiger and I will be just fine with Cain if he wants to be a tiger. Still a HR if we land those two. LSU won’t give up on Emery very easily though I can promise you that

Need to beat Georgia and Alabama this year, and all of this recruiting nonsense will be moot.Louisiana sons will want to stay home. Will a pledge from Cain satisfy y’all? What about the 4 star from Texas( 247 has him at 100% to LSU )

Sometimes a kid just wants to go elsewhere, for whatever reasons.Rumor has it that he just wasn’t a fan of LSU

Never said Cain was 100% coming to LSU and never said Emery was either. Keeping a positive spin on the situation. It’s a big loss for now but can’t look much into it until December/February.
