-We start off with the commitment of De'Myrion Johnson from Westgate.
-Jimmy Lindsey has been on staff for a few weeks and the June official run is about to begin.
-De'Myrion not much of a talker. Called it a "dream come true" and the best decision for he and his family.
-Smart play by LSU 6'3 275 pounder from right down the road. Solid 3* prospect. Took a Ok State visit earlier this year and earned a Florida offer from Corey Raymond recruiting the area.
-LSU needs 3 DT's in this class. Half the class is from Louisiana. Now we get to look forward.
-Ahmad Breaux is looked at as an DE. Kolaj Cobbins can play EDGE or LB. Now you have a true defensive lineman. He's a plug and demands attention. He plays high needs to learn to get lower.
-Very safe pick up for LSU, has the frame and the size. He can handle the SEC. Wasn't really on the radar for commitment watch but pulled the trigger.
-The name everyone is watching is Dominick McKinley. Losing Maason Smith, Mekhi Wingo, Guillory is getting up there along with Jordan Jefferson.
-Visiting Texas A&M, Texas, Oklahoma and Ohio State. LSU and Alabama are the other two schools he's looking for that other official visit.
-LSU doesn't usually do summer official visits. If you're LSU you want to use that official visit in the fall. Get the three days on campus.
-LSU is the heavy favorite. Sits in 5 star range for On3. This will be a recruitment you're going to hear buzz with other schools. He plays a premium position on college football. You have to land the kid in your back yard.
-Everyone on the staff is involved in this recruitment. Other programs aren't going to give up because he's an LA kid.
-If he had to pick today Billy would pick LSU.
-A guy that Jimmy Lindsey likes that he was recruiting at South Carolina is Nasir Johnson. LSU offered earlier this month. Top 250 player. FSU and Florida are the early leaders. 3 officials set up already and LSU is trying to get him locked in for one.
-The next big name that locked in an official visit with LSU is Kamarion Franklin out of the Sip.
-He visited LSU early on in his recruitment. Then things fell off and wasn't feeling it. Jimmy Lindsey has opened things back up and going to give LSU his last official of the summer.
-Started off as an Edge but has grown into the lineman position. Intrigued to see how LSU does recruiting him moving forward and if he takes it to the fall.
-June 23rd is the monster weekend for LSU recruiting
-You're swinging for the top guys above but another name to watch is Caleb Moore and Terrance Hibbler.
-The name to watch would be Kamarion Franklin
-Tigers are battling Texas for Alex January. Both parents are from Lake Charles. Grandparents live in Lake Charles. Father played LB for Texas. BK impressed the family when they visited without having a D-line coach.
-Would expect him to land at Texas but Tigers have ties. Have to blow away the official visit. More DT traits in him.
-Daelyn Evans out of Longview will officially visit LSU in the fall. Tigers have never stopped recruiting him. Has the traits of a light DT or Strong Side DE. Very athletic at the UA Dallas camp. Visited LSU in the spring.
-Under the radar possible target in Marcus Downs. Wasn't offered by Lindsey at South Caroliona but holds and LSU offer.
-Justin Greene is a similar prospect to Daelyn Evans with his frame. LSU has an official set for him June 23rd. Jimmy Lindsey expected to make a move here. He is coming off a knee injury and looking to regain form.
-LSU and Bama are battling for his last official visit. Full slate for June already. Offers from all the big players. A true Nose Tackle. Reminds Billy of Oatis minus the weight issue.

I'm a little worried with d line.
I'm sure everything will be fine but hopefully they get some guys in the boat sooner rather than later.

We'll be alright. Lindsey sounds like he's made inroads with kids already and was recruiting a bunch of these guys before coming over - so presumably he has a good relationship, and with the move to the good guys, he's got even more to offer these kids now (no offense to USC, but that's just the truth).

Great work! Hoping we get 4-5 DL commits. If we don't I expect LSU to hit portal hard for DT. If we do still think they will add probably 2 DT mimimum.

Hope we can pull the kid from oak grove. My alma mater!

Our goal should be to land Johnson, McKinley, and one more HS DT as Billy mentioned. That would allow us to only have to bring in 1-2 portal DT’s as opposed to 3-4. I’m interested to see where we go for edge rushers in this class. Breaux seems to be a tweener and Cobbins could play edge or stack LB.

Not really concerned. Can always spend big in *free agency* if you need to plug holes. I have 110% faith in this staff.
