If Ala wants to give a high school QB over a mill good for them. There is a high percentage of recruits that end up not playing ever in college. Its like going to the casino and putting all that money on a hand of black jack.LSU has 1 really productive QB committed whose numbers are outrageous.

Kid will not be the #1 QB going into his senior year. Great prospect by prototypical standards.

We are seeing in real time, how a supposed stud QB (Underwood) is used to playing against a good defense

They already have a QB committed that fits perfectly within DeBoer’s system. If Lane ends up in Gainesville, that’s likely where he’s headed.

I don't care what position it is or how highly ranked the prospect is. I can understand a prospect not wanting to play for a dipshit coach such as Brian Kelly.

You’re just spouting off BS on the recruiting board for no reason. There’s plenty Kelly threads on the Tiger Rant you can join in on. We already have a QB commit.

Good! I wouldn't play for Brian Kelly either. BK is a loser.
Regardless of what we think about this year. Nuss threw for
4050 yards and 29 TDs last year and Jayden Daniels in 12 games had 4950 total yards and 50 total TDs. That was under 2 different offensive coordinators.

Next year we'll have a fully experienced OL, a new OC, and just a better offense all around. He'll likely put emphasis on the run game when looking for a guy.

You have literally no way of knowing this.

LSU doesn’t have anything to offer especially if it comes to coaching and development.

QB is the one position where you’re inevitably only going to get 1 top guy so it’s a lot more palatable.

Generally true but Bama looks to get the #1(Elijah Haven) & #15(Trent Seaborn - committed) QB in the 2027 class.

LSU is on tap to get the #6 (Colton Nussmeier) and #9(Houston - committed) QBs in the 2027 class.

Regardless of the betterness of the prospect we're getting, can't allow Bama to reopen the Louisiana pipeline.
in this case how would you suggest we combat it?

He was never really “ours”. Had sunbelt billy was still employed, he’d be a Gator. It was a “bad” numbers year for our qb recruiting. Same can be said of we “lose” baby Nuss. We’d look better on paper if we had Haven committed and Houston elsewhere. Those are outside optics. We may have gotten the best qb in La. Time will tell.

Al is going to shove BK’s face into the ground again.
