I think the NCAA will let a athlete transfer in special situations. I think this is one of them. Parents who are very upset with the situation and their kids have just started classes will be able to transfer but not to the school the previous coach left for. I think that happen a couple of years ago, but I can't remember what school it was.

That seems fair.

I don't think so. The NCAA's stance is that the kids commit to a school, not a coach. The only reason I can remember allowing a kid to transfer without sitting out a year was the Baylor Basketball fiasco a few years ago.

UK doesn's seem to mind

No joke. My Mom and Dad were getting on me for cheering for Texas in the NC. I turned to my Mom, who is a die hard Memphis Tiger fan, and asked her if she would be cheering for UK in the Final Four. She saw my point after that, although what Cal did was much worse than Saban leaving us. What Kiffin did to UT and this Orgeron crap is that much worse.

BTW, I listened to 104.5 in Nashville today and Chris Low was on. He was in Knoxville last night and confirmed the statements of several players about Orgeron. According to him, Mike Hamilton will NOT grant releases to anyone who is enrolled, no matter what.
