I am getting to the point that I think you can't have too many DBs. The game is changing and these guys are exposed to a lot of running and contact. The Fiesta Bowl showed the issues when you have to start using receivers as cornerbacks. Love to see signing another CB and S. The rest would be lagniappe.

They’ve already said they’re going to try Stingley on both sides of the ball. He’s not becoming just a WR
So we have a 5* all world talent who is fully capable of excelling at receiver, and actually wants to do it (Stingley).
We missed on 2 higly rated receivers this cycle, but have a packed house of talented CBs who can fill the need defensively.
But we don't move him to offense (even though there will be a need) on a team that now showcases receivers in a high scoring fireworks show?
It's ok though, I used to get downvoted to hell and back when I said O would be the head coach when he was appointed as interim. I'm used to it.

Not only is there no chance Stingley moves to WR, the convo wont even be had btwn coaches, players, parents. Stingley, Chase & Marshall are so exceptional at their jobs they'll stay right where they are, maybe return on spec teams a little

They should let Gilbert play both ways

we did also sign 2 highly rated receivers this cycle and have plenty coming back next year that are already on the team

He will line up as TE & WR, but doubtful on D.

Correct. Those "plenty coming back" ones will be gone after next year, see what I'm getting at?

Notice he said nothing about a WR

Gilbert would be the best pash rusher on our defense. FACT

Didn’t we have a 4star top ten rated player committed?

yes, and he signed. Jordan Toles, the 6th rated safety. He is out of Baltimore.

One of the more comical thing’s I’ve read in a while

Stingley may eventually play four to six snaps a game on offense, but not much more. Michael Clayton played a few snaps on defense for LSU and Tommy Casanova had some carries on offense, but they were too valuable at their regular spots for anything more. Stingley means more to this team on defense and will stay there. We can find receivers; we have them now. We can't find corners like Stingley.

I get "what you are getting at". So as it stands right now, for the 2021 season as receivers we will have: Trey Palmer, Devonta Lee, and Jaray Jenkins, who are all currently on the team at WR. The we added in this class, Kayshon Boutte, Arik Gilbert, Kole Taylor, and Koy Moore. 2021 should be a good year for WR recruits for LSU, as Deion Smith a WR from Mississippi is already committed and Louisiana is loaded with WR's among next years recruits, with Chris Hilton and Brian Thomas leading the way. Also unknown is what national recruits at WR we will attract.
Then on top of that, Stingley will be getting some reps at WR in certain situations, but he still is going to be our star CB (along with Ricks)
But I agree that we do look a little thin at WR for the 2021 season as it stands right now.
oddly enough, both Kris Draine and Darin Turner, two WR's who were once committed to LSU, remain unsigned.

Congrats on obtaining the most downvotes I ever seen for a non-OP.

You suck at reading between the lines.
