Unlike some of the posters here, I do think this is a fair question.
Thank you. From everything I've read, Texas and Texas Tech may be able to offer a bigger bag, and they're only prioritizing landing one of these players. LSU would potentially have to land both. At some point, LSU may have to decide which player provides the best return on its investment. Coach Kiffin has already shown he's willing to walk away when he doesn't believe the value is there.
I'd love to keep Royal home in Louisiana. At the same time, our wide receiver room is already loaded (while acknowledging Royal could end up being better than anyone currently on the roster). On the other hand, our defensive line doesn't have that same level of proven depth.
Obviously, the ideal outcome is landing both. But if circumstances forced LSU to choose, I'd lean toward Brewster because I believe building an elite defensive front has the bigger impact on winning championships.

Royal is the safer bet.
I think Brewster will have challenges with more complex blocking schemes as he moves up in competition.

Exactly. News flash to everyone not in the know but every 5 star recruit strictly chases the bag no matter how much they tell a reporter it’s not all about the money. It most certainly is to them.

Royal is not and every louisiana receiver. He is a Jefferson/ Chase type.
We need him home where he belongs. No way Kiffen let's him leave BR.

Easton Royal No way Texas should have anything that belongs to Louisiana. They(Texas) are supposed to have the best high school football in the country so choose from it.
This is personal! Jalen would ONLY consider TT if not for the $$$$, they have no brand. LSU and Brewster would be in the sports news all the time. He knows, his agent knows, and his family knows- Cody Campbell is the only thing Texas Tech has, he will swindle the agent and the family with the only thing TT can offer more of-

Tech also has a head coach that is a legend in Cedar Hill and close to Brewsters family.

If only one of these two, then I choose Easton. We have some deep talent on the D Line. We also have a lot of receivers, but we don’t have anything like Easton on the roster. Plus, he’s an LA boy!

Royal. Always makes me sick when elite LA talent aren’t rocking purple and gold tbh

Brewster for overall team improvement. That DL with everybody else we have on board will be like the golden era of Saban DLs and the Clemson DL that won their last national championship.
Royal for Louisiana loyalty. He's an amazingly elite player, but we have Kifffin now running the offense. LSU can get plenty good enough WRs that will want to come here.

What I'm trying to say—and apologies if I'm not explaining it very well—is this:
Easton is committed to Texas, and Jalen is committed to Texas Tech. Texas only has to keep one elite recruit, and Texas Tech only has to keep one elite recruit. LSU, on the other hand, has to flip both if we want to land both players.
That means LSU would likely have to dedicate enough NIL resources to win two recruiting battles, while Texas and Texas Tech each only have to win one. At some point, if resources become a factor, LSU may have to decide which player provides the better return on investment.
Hopefully, it never comes to that, and we find a way to land both.

Brewster and it's not even close.
Elite WRs in LA occur quite often, more over across the US.
Elite DT (best player in America type) are not, and usually don't come to LSU.
