He can become the GOAT here at LSU . No one has won multiple football titles here . I believe that’s his goal .

This is my hope of keeping him at LSU. He would have to win a lot to become the GOAT at Alabama. He can win two here and be the GOAT. I think he could win multiple Natty's.

I couldn't imagine we would be in this position after the 1st week of the Portal. If we get him and a couple of good OL, wow, what a finish! :geauxtigers:

Not a depth chart, but this should help.

I hope this is okay to do, if not someone please delete. I took the link provided and used ChatGPT to create a 2-Deep. I know AI isn't always correct, but I hope this will at least be fairly accurate.

?? Solid
?? Serviceable but thin
?? Needs portal help

LSU PROJECTED 2-DEEP (CURRENT STATE)
OFFENSE
Quarterback (??)

QB1: Sam Leavitt (ASU)
QB2: Landen Clark (Elon)
QB3: Emile Picarella (PWO)

Notes

Leavitt is the clear starter.

Clark is a functional QB2 (athletic, scheme-friendly).

This room is stable, not elite — but good enough to win with OL help.

Running Back (??)

RB1: Harlem Berry
RB2: Caden Durham
RB3: Rod Gainey (Charlotte)
RB4: Raycine Guillory (Utah)

Notes

Berry/Durham is a solid 1–2.

No proven SEC bell-cow yet.

A portal RB would help, but this is not urgent.

Wide Receiver (?? bordering ?? due to volume)

X (Boundary): Nic Anderson
Backup: Jayce Brown (KSU)

Z (Field): Eugene “Tre” Wilson (Florida)
Backup: Phillip Wright III

Slot: Jackson Harris (Hawaii)
Backup: Tyree Holloway (UWF)

Rotational / Packages

Tre Brown (ODU)

Malik Elzy (Illinois)

Roman Mothershed (Troy)

Winnie Watkins (Ole Miss)

Josh Jackson (McNeese)

Brayden Allen (FR)

Corey Barber Jr. (FR)

Jabari Mack (FR)

Notes

Sheer volume is excellent, but you need 2–3 to separate as weekly dudes.

This is a classic “competition sorts it out” room.

One proven P4 WR would still be welcome but not mandatory.

Tight End (??)

TE1: Trey’Dez Green
TE2: Malachi Thomas (Pitt)
TE3: JD Lafleur
TE4: JC Anderson (FR)

Notes

Quietly strong room.

Green + Thomas gives you both inline and flex options.

No urgency here.

Offensive Line (?? — KNOWN WORK IN PROGRESS)

Projected with current bodies only (this will change)

LT: Solomon Thomas
Backup: Braden Augustus

LG: William Satterwhite (Tennessee)
Backup: Ja’Quan Sprinkle (NC Central)

C: Braelin Moore
Backup: Brett Bordelon

RG: Weston Davis
Backup: Bo Bordelon

RT: Darrin Strey (Kentucky)
Backup: JaKolby Jones (JUCO)

Developmental

Brysten Martinez (FR)

Ryan Miret (FR)

Notes

Center is solid.

Guard play is serviceable.

Tackle depth is not SEC-ready yet.

You are absolutely correct that OL additions are coming — and 2 starters + 1 swing tackle should still be targeted.

DEFENSE
Defensive Tackle (??)

DT1: Dominick McKinley
DT2: Malik Blocton (Auburn)

DT Rotation

Shone Washington

Stephiylan Green (Clemson)

Brandon Brown

Richard Anderson (FR)

Deuce Geralds (FR)

Notes

This group is quietly strong and deep.

SEC-caliber rotation already.

EDGE / DE (??)

Edge1: Jordan Ross (Tennessee)
Backup: Jaylen Brown (South Carolina)

Edge2: Gabe Reliford
Backup: Achilles Woods (South Alabama)

Rotational

Dylan Carpenter

Koloj Cobbins

Damien Shanklin

Trenton Henderson (FR)

Lamar Brown (FR)

Notes

Ross is a legit anchor.

Good mix of speed + power.

No immediate need here.

Linebacker (??)

Mike: Whit Weeks
Backup: Davhon Keys

Will: Jaiden Braker
Backup: Keylan Moses

Sam / Nickel Hybrid: Tyler Singleton
Backup: Charles Ross

Notes

Solid, athletic group.

No alpha yet, but functional.

Could use one veteran portal LB, but not a crisis.

Cornerback (??)

CB1: DJ Pickett
Backup: PJ Woodland

CB2: Ja’Keem Jackson
Backup: Aidan Anding

Depth

Michael Turner

Dez Ellis (FR)

Havon Finney Jr. (FR)

Notes

Pickett + Jackson is a good SEC pairing.

Young depth, but acceptable.

Safety (??)

FS: Tamarcus Cooley
Backup: Aiden Hall (FR)

SS: Dashawn Spears
Backup: Ty Benefield (Boise State)

Nickel / Hybrid

CJ Jimcoily

Jhase Thomas

Treylan James (Southern)

Isaiah Washington (FR)

Notes

Deep, flexible room.

Plenty of sub-package options.

SPECIALISTS (??)

Punter: Grant Chadwick / Hayden Craig (Florida)
Kicker: Gavin Higgins / Scott Starzyk (Arkansas)
Long Snapper: Mack Mulhern (Florida)

No concerns here.

BIG-PICTURE ASSESSMENT
Strengths

QB room stabilized

WR depth is real

DL & EDGE are SEC-ready

Secondary is solid

Specialists locked

Manageable

RB lacks a proven star

LB could use experience

Still a Must-Fix

Offensive line

Especially tackles

Add 2 starters + 1 swing

Bottom Line

If LSU lands:

2 quality OL starters

1 swing tackle

This roster is playoff-capable with Leavitt at QB.

Sorry, but the color formats didn't work. There were supposed to be green for good, yellow for caution, and red for needs work.

All are green except for:

Yellow Wide Receiver, bordering on green, "One proven P4 WR would still be welcome but not mandatory"
Red is the OLine which we all know.

I would love to read that take. Do you have a link? :geauxtigers:
I believe Monday the 12 is the first day of Classes and to be able to participate in 2026 spring practice, you must be enrolled and fully meet all the NCAA and school academic requirements by Friday Jan 16, I also heard that it is not as important for an OL to enroll in time for spring practice, and a lot of them enroll in the Summer. Is that what you guys understand?
Love it! Only 80-year-old LSU fans know how to use recruiting boards! :geauxtigers:
So does that mean Sorsby's total NIL was only 1 million? Is the buyout usually the full amount or just a portion of it? If so, I would think Williams would have been less?
Why wasn't this an option for Demond Williams for us?
