He is the number 1 player in Bama. 5* DE. He is currently not projected to an Alabama school. He is 78% to Tennessee. We should really push for him. It would be huge to get a guy like that out of Alabama. We should have more pull than that dumpster fire in a Tennessee. And we certainly owe bama/ auburn a few stealing of high profile recruits. 247

My early read was that it would be an AU vs LSU battle.

Not sure about Tennessee other than they are a desperate program.

If not here, best case scenario for an SEC school in Tennessee. A strong Tennessee is bad news for Bama, and hopefully Pruit can continue to steal some from Bama enough to weaken them.

As well as Clemson. When Fulmer had Tennessee competitive, they raided the Carolinas often. Lately Clemson has been getting some of TN's best players.
Their best WR, now a Bengal, was from Knoxville.

We’ve taken some pretty good Tennessee talent lately as well. Stevens and Phillips come to mind

Stevens was always an LSU fan growing up and, I believe his dad is from The Crowley area. Pulling him wasn’t like pulling a true TN recruit.

Correct. He grew up wanting to play for LSU. Thomas got way too much credit for that one.

What makes you think LSU is not recruiting him? Do you know something the coaches don't know?
