I feel like that bc I live in Ponchatoula and have been to some of his games.

Every once in a while he has a good game/ high yardage total.

But overall, low completion percentage & just plain sloppy footwork

I agree with you. Finley will never have it at the next level. He has good physical attributes but stuff a QB needs like accuracy or pocket awareness he doesn't have it and he'll probably never get it.

Even if true don't post this here!

Lighten up, Francis. I have spent way too much with recruits, so I know for a fact stuff on message boards doesnt bother them. You dont think his coaches havnt told him the same things about his footwork and accuracy?

If a kid gets his feelings hurt over message board banter, then he has no business playing quarterback in the SEC. If anything his competitive spirit will force him to get better and to prove his critics wrong.

The notion anything said on here affects recruits is laughable and I know this because I have talked to more than a 100 SEC recruits and asked them that very same question.

Constructive criticism is one thing, a guy has to learn to deal with it eventually and sooner rather than later is probably better. On the other side if this board makes it seem like our fan base does not want a certain recruit then that can be a bad look and if it happens enough will probably influence one of them.

I think we’d let one of the WRs go before one of the safety’s. The rest is probably how it would go although I am interested in seeing how Gaye turns out bc I have a feeling he’s going to be a good one but may need to RS in order for him to truly shine. Plus we need all the DLman and OLman we can get.

Brennan will be the QB for two years and we will be able to get at least one 5 star QB recruit to LSU in those two, years.

I have no idea if Finley has these attributes. Likely, you don't either. More likely, just an opinion from you. I will say that intangibles are what separate the excellent/good from the average/below average. So many get caught up in a kid's arm, or his running ability. That strong arm isn't going to help you in crunch time against a great defense when you have no idea how to even read a defense. Enjoy Burrow, all I can say.

Jesus, even if what you're saying is 100% true, the way you said it makes you sound like such a prick.

And you asked them so you must know for sure. Ever think that maybe they (these 100 SEC recruits) also thought you were a prick and were never gonna open up to you and reveal that sort of thing?

Again, I'm not arguing the substance of your post, but jeez dude, don't twist your ankle climbing down from that high horse.

And the idea that QBs cannot improve their accuracy with quality coaching is laughable. Hell, when Burrow was asked why he didn’t have more top offers coming out of high school, his reply was that he wasn’t very accurate. That’s Joe Burrow!!!

And there are countless QB throughout history that greatly improved accuracy with improved footwork, mechanics, and release - all of which can be improved through coaching (and hard work of course).

I get the feeling one of the QBs will get grey shirted. Neither will play for a few years so offer it if we need to open up a spot.

Finley may take it, Max may be able to pay one year on his own.

TJ Finley is a Tiger and the a holes here who are pre judging and running him down is why we sometimes lose recruits.

Yeah and this dude has been recruiting for us since day 1. He's not leaving this class unless he decides he doesn't want LSU anymore.

Several have already been processed. I would agree with your statement IF coach O remained silent and did not state they had room for one more.
Trust and believe, no matter what is said right now, they will take the BEST players that are offered to them. Coach O is no fool, he knows we have to beat Saban & Bama every year and to do that we have to take the best players. This isn't tiddlywinks.

Yeah I mean the most important attributes for a QB is being able to read defenses at a high level and have the accuracy to put the ball exactly where it needs to be and also has to have the “it” factor being driven to be the best leadership those are the most important attributes IMO

You guys calling out a recruit and knocking Finley is terrible. Finley has recruited his arse off for LSU, and you can bet these recruits and their families read these boards.
I will say this to young Mr. Finley ignore these idiots, who probably never played a down of football and do you.

Hear! Hear! These heartless, soulless idiots are a negative to LSU recruiting. Their football experience is creating a team on PlayStation where they make all their players 99 across the board. And they view LSU as their personal PlayStation team and the players as inanimate objects to be cast aside in their search for the 99 player. If they were in control no recruit of any ability would choose to deal with such characterless scum.

This board is lacking administration oversight. Either delete some of these posts or ban some of these posters. Preferably both.
